An accelerator position detection device includes a handlebar grip that is turnable in a normal rotation direction and in a reverse rotation direction from a neutral position and is energized to the neutral position when no operation is applied; accelerator position sensors that output voltage according to an angle of the handlebar grip and that include a first sensor and a second sensor; and a detector that detects an angle for control for controlling a vehicle on the basis of the angle of the handlebar grip according to output from the accelerator position sensors. The detector detects an angle as a positive value on the basis of a first voltage when the first voltage in a rising range is output, and the detector detects an angle as a negative value on the basis of a second voltage when a first initial value not located in the rising range is output.

Accelerator position detection device with improved abnormal detection

A rocker switch device is provided in which a pair of shaft portions are projectingly provided on mutually opposing faces of extremity portions of a pair of side wall parts of a switch case, the pair of shaft portions being aligned on the same axis as each other, a bearing hole is formed in an operating knob so as to extend therethrough, the pair of shaft portions being rotatably fitted into the bearing hole, a projecting portion is provided on an outside face of the pair of side wall parts, the projecting portion being pressed into contact with the support body to thus prevent rattling of the switch case, and a support pin is fitted into the bearing hole, opposite ends of the support pin abutting against extremities of the pair of shaft portions respectively. Such arrangement prevents switch malfunctioning, and restrains deformation of the side wall parts.

Rocker switch device

An ECU controls the damping force at the time of the expansion movement and contraction movement of the front fork. When detecting at least that the motorcycle is in a state of making a stop and the brake hydraulic sensor shows an output of more than or equal to a predetermined value, the ECU carries out a damping force reducing control for minimizing the damping force of the front fork. The ECU takes the following sequential steps of: sensing a start of an expansion movement of the front suspension after starting the damping force reducing control, sensing a termination of the expansion movement of the front suspension, and terminating the damping force reducing control.

Suspension of motorcycle

A front wheel caliper bracket for supporting an axle is provided in a lower end portion of a front fork. A wheel speed sensor is mounted on the bracket. The wheel speed sensor includes a fixing section and a sensor section, and is mounted on a sensor mounting section of the bracket by a bolt. The sensor mounting section is integrally formed with a rotation regulating portion in a projecting fashion. When fastened by the bolt, a lateral part of the rotating wheel speed sensor comes into contact with the rotation regulating portion to regulate the rotation of the wheel speed sensor, so that the stress from the rotation regulating portion is not exerted directly on the sensor section.

A handlebar-mounted switch control device includes switch activation buttons which respectively correspond to specific switches, and which are arranged on surfaces of a switch case adjacent to a grip in an end portion of a handlebar. Two switch activation buttons are disposed on a front outer surface of the switch case. The two switch activation buttons are configured and placed in such a way so that a rider can easily recognize which of the two switch activation buttons the rider touches. The second switch activation button is placed above the first switch activation button, and inward of the first switch activation button in a vehicle width direction. A guide surface inclining to extend inward in the vehicle width direction toward an upper side is formed on a side surface of the switch case which is above the first switch activation button, and which faces the grip.

A battery holding structure includes a battery tray for storing a battery therein. A battery holding rack is configured to store the battery tray with the battery stored therein and to allow the battery tray to be pulled out along widthwise directions of the vehicle. A ground wire has one end connected to a negative terminal of the battery and another end connected to a grounding member on a vehicle frame. A movement prevention member fixes the other end of the ground wire to the battery tray and prevents the battery tray from being pulled out to one side along the widthwise directions of the vehicle with the ground wire which is connected to the grounding member.

Battery holding structure for vehicle

A garage door opening device for a motorcycle is provided that includes a vehicle-side communicating device configured to transmit a door opening or closing signal to a garage-side communicating device. The garage door opening device also includes a manual operation switch configured to initiate sending of the opening or closing signal via the vehicle-side communicating device. The vehicle-side communicating device and the manual operation switch are located separately from each other. The vehicle-side communicating device is disposed inside a front cowl that is forward of a meter housing of the motorcycle.

A battery charging apparatus for a vehicle includes a driver, a position detector, and a controller. The driver includes switching elements to convert three-phase AC power outputted from a winding of each phase of a stator of a three-phase AC generator into DC power to supply the DC power to a battery. The position detector is configured to output a position detection signal indicating a position of a rotor of the three-phase AC generator. The controller is configured to control the switching elements to be switched between an energized state and non-energized state. The controller is configured to have a maintenance period during a period until next input of the position detection signal if the period exceeds an energization period. The switching elements are to be maintained in the maintenance period in the energized state or non-energized state immediately before the period exceeding the energization period.

Battery charging apparatus for vehicle

A battery charging apparatus includes a plurality of input terminals which are connected to respective phases of a three-phase AC dynamo, and a rectifying circuit including a plurality of rectifying elements and a plurality of switching elements. A switching element control unit and pulse generation unit are provided, for controlling the turning on/off of the switching elements, and for generating a pulse signal, respectively. The switching element control unit is configured to control the plurality of switching elements, and includes a potential difference detection unit configured to detect potential differences between potentials of input terminals, and a specifying unit configured to determine a phase order of AC outputs which are input to the input terminals.

Battery charging apparatus

A battery charging apparatus includes a position sensor for outputting a position detection signal, a sensor for detecting an output current or voltage of a predetermined phase, a regulator for supplying DC power obtained by rectifying three-phase AC from the generator to a battery, and an inverter control section for executing energization control of the respective switching elements of the regulator based on a phase of an induced voltage of the generator calculated on the basis of the position detection signal. The inverter control section inputs a revolution speed signal Ne of the generator, the position detection signal Tp, and either output signal out of a current signal or a voltage signal detected by the sensor, and estimates an error of an attaching position of the position sensor with respect to the induced voltage of the predetermined phase based on the position detection signal and the output signal.

A wiring structure to supply power to a license light provided in a two-wheeled vehicle includes a wire, a connector, a vehicle-body-side harness, and a plug. The wire is connected to the license light attached to a fender support. The fender support is attached to a back surface of a rear fender which is detachably attached to a vehicle body. The connector is attached to a leading end of the wire and to the fender support. The vehicle-body-side harness is fastened to a vehicle-body frame with a fastener at a position lower than an attachment position of the connector. The vehicle-body-side harness extends upward toward the connector. The plug is provided to the vehicle-body-side harness and is connected to the connector to supply power from the vehicle body to the license light.

A lighting device for a vehicle includes a lens, a housing, an engaging part, and an engaged part. The engaging part and the engaged part are configured to be a state in which the lens is fixed in a predetermined position by turning the lens by a predetermined angle with respect to the housing after the lens and the housing are fitted in a direction of an optical axis of the lens. An inside of the lens abuts, by screwing the fastening member to the housing when the lens is fixed in the predetermined position, on an end of the fastening member so that turning of the lens is disenabled even if it is tried to turn the lens in a direction in which the lens is disengaged from the housing.

Lighting device for vehicle

A wiring structure of a rear combination light of a vehicle includes a light-side wire, a vehicle-body-side wire holding portion, a stay, a light-side wire holding portion and a wire coupler. The vehicle-body-side wire holding portion is mounted on a rear surface of the vehicle body to hold an intermediate portion of a vehicle-body-side wire. The light-side wire holding portion is mounted on the stay to hold an intermediate portion of the light-side wire on a distal end portion of the stay. The wire coupler is arranged between the rear surface of the vehicle body and a back surface of the rear combination light. The light-side wire is connected to the vehicle-body-side wire via the wire coupler in a state where the rear combination light is mounted on the rear portion of the vehicle body.

A vehicle reversing apparatus includes a reverse drive gear, a reverse gear, a shifter gear, a shifter gear slide mechanism, and lost motion mechanism. The reverse drive gear is configured to rotate by a starter motor or an internal combustion engine, and the reverse gear is configured to reverse the vehicle. The shifter gear is configured to be mounted circumferentially rotatably relative to a reverse shaft and to transmit rotation of the reverse drive gear to the reverse gear. The shifter gear slide mechanism is configured to slide the shifter gear through rotation of a shifter motor to enable the shifter gear to engage the reverse drive gear and the reverse gear. The lost motion mechanism is configured to coaxially connect a rotation shaft of the shifter motor and the reverse shaft to each other.

Vehicle reversing apparatus

This invention provides an optical disc drive with more accurate and stable power control for a laser light source. An optical disc drive in an embodiment of this invention includes a monitor photodetector for receiving laser light emitted by a laser light source to monitor the laser light power. The monitor diode is a photodetector for generating an electric signal corresponding to the laser light power. A laser light controller controls drive current to the laser light source based on a result of measurement by the monitor diode. The optical disc drive measures output variations of the monitor diode and controls the gain of the monitor diode based on the result of the measurement. This gain control improves accuracy and stability in laser light control so that stability in recording/reading can be attained.
