An agrichemical-containing composition that exhibits excellent agrichemical efficacy is provided. The agrichemical-containing composition comprises hydroxypropyl cellulose, an agrichemical, an organic solvent having a saturated vapor pressure of 50 mmHg or higher at 25&#xb0; C., and water. When the composition as a whole is taken as 100 wt %, the content of the organic solvent is 0.02 to 1 wt %, and the weight ratio of the hydroxypropyl cellulose to the organic solvent (hydroxypropyl cellulose/organic solvent) is in a range of 0.1 to 2.

Method for enhancing efficacy of agrichemical, and agrichemical-containing composition

The present invention provides the efficacy-enhancing agent composition for agricultural chemicals containing (A) the sorbitan fatty acid ester surfactant, (B) the rosin-oxyalkylene adduct surfactant or a specified quaternary ammonium salt surfactant, and (C) a specified glycol ether solvent.

Efficacy-enhancing agent composition for agricultural chemicals

The present invention provides a plant-activating agent for improving the activity of plants efficiently without a chemical injury onto the plant. The plant-activating agent is selected from the group consisting of (1) an organic acid derivative which is derived from the organic acid having two functional groups and wherein at least one of the above-mentioned functional groups is bonded to a group containing 1 to 30 carbon atoms; (2) a compound represented by the formula (II):RCOO(AO)X&#x2003;&#x2003;(II)wherein R represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having 11 to 29 carbon atoms; Xrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl or acyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, or a counter ion; AO represents at least one group selected from oxyethylene, oxyprolylene and oxybutylene groups and may be random or block; and n represents an average number of moles added and is zero to 30; and (3) a glycerol derivative. If necessary, the agent is used together with a surfactant, a fertilizer component or a chelating agent.

Plant-activating agent

The present invention relates to a quaternary ammonium salt composition containing (a) a quaternary ammonium salt represented by the following general formula (1), (b) a specific tertiary amine and (c) an organic acid ester in specific mass ratios which is excellent in hue and storage stability, a process for producing the quaternary ammonium salt composition, and a wood preservative containing the quaternary ammonium salt composition.

That is, the present invention provides a freshness-keeping agent for plants, such as a harvested plant, comprising a sugar derivative- or sugar alcohol derivative-based surfactant (A) and at least one selected from the group consisting of a sugar (B), a plant hormone (C), an aging inhibitor (D), an aggregating agent for colloidal particles (E) and a germicide, fungicide and preservative (F), preferably in a specific ratio by weight.

Freshness-keeping agents for plants

The invention provides an agricultural chemical enhancer and an agricultural chemical composition which are safely used for crops without any phytotoxicity, have a potency enhancing action on various agricultural chemicals and promote the growth of a plant body to be intended to be grown. The invention relates to an agricultural chemical enhancer comprising at least one type selected from a specific alcohol compound, an ether compound and an ester compound.

Herbicide potentiators

This invention provides an agricultural chemical composition comprising an enhancer for agricultural chemicals, which is excellent in stability even when compounded at high concentration, and exerts an excellent effect-enhancing action on agricultural chemicals. A specific amine oxide having a Calkyl or alkenyl group or an alkylphenyl group having a Calkyl group, and an amide alkyl group or oxyalkylene group is used as the enhancer for agricultural chemicals.

Namely, the present invention provides a fertilizer composition comprising a specific anionic surfactant or a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant and a fertilizer as the essential components.

The present invention provides a plant-activating agent which effects no chemical injury on plant and which makes an activity of plant improve efficiently. That is to say, the present invention provides a method of activating a plant, which comprises treating the plant with a mono-alcohol having 12 to 24 carbon atoms as a plant-activating agent; use of the mono-alcohol as a plant-activating agent; and a plant-activating agent or composition comprising the mono-alcohol; optionally with a surfactant, a fertilizer component and/or a chelating agent.

There are provided an effect enhancer for an agricultural chemical and an a chemical formulation which is not pharmaceutically harmful to various crops and can be safely used and which has an excellent effect enhancing function to various agricultural chemicals. The effect enhancer for the agricultural chemical comprises, as an effective component, a compound represented by the following formula (I): R&mdash;O&lsqb;(EO),(PO),&rsqb;(EO),&mdash;H, wherein EO is an oxyethylene group; PO is an oxypropylene group; R is a straight-chin or branched alkyl group or alkenyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms; x is a value of 1 to 30 on the average; y is a value of 1 to 30 on the average, and z is a value of 1 to 30 on the average. The agricultural chemical formulation composes the above-mentioned surfactant and a technical grade of active ingredient or an active compound for an agricultural chemical.

Effect enhancer for agricultural chemical

An agricultural chemical composition which can be safely applied to crops without causing any chemical damage comprising a mixture, which exerts excellent potentiating effects on various agricultural chemicals and has n of from 2 to 50 on the average and x1+y1+z1+x2+y2+z2+x3+y3+z3 of from 0 to 100 on the average, of compounds represented by the following general formula (I) and an agricultural chemical, wherein the weight ratio of the mixture to the agricultural chemical ranges from 0.1 to 20: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each represent a hydrogen atom or an acyl group having from 2 to 31 carbon atoms, --SO.sub.3 Na, --SO.sub.3 K, --SO.sub.3 H.N(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OH).sub.3 or --SO.sub.3 H.NH(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 OH).sub.2 ;
