Disclosed are a metal processing lubricating oil composition and a process for producing the same. A metal processing lubricating oil composition according to this invention comprises mineral oil, synthetic oil or a mixture thereof, and phosphoric ester and orthophosphoric acid mixed and heated in the mineral oil, synthetic oil or mixture thereof. The lubricating oil composition gets rid of the tiresome pre-treatment associated with the conventional lubricating method, and exhibits a high seizure prevention performance in cold plastic working only by coating it on workpieces. The lubricating oil composition may further comprise metallic phosphate to suppress corrosivity against ferrous materials.

A fluid control system for cleaning exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine by injecting additional air into the exhaust manifold of the downstream of the combustion chamber of the engine according to the engine operating conditions. This system includes a vacuum control valve which supplies vacuum on-off signals to a flow control valve device which meters injecting of additional air. The vacuum control valve device includes a housing, a diaphragm dividing the housing into a first chamber communicating with the engine intake manifold which forms a vacuum source and a second chamber communicating with atmosphere, a valve assembly securely fixed to a center portion of the diaphragm and having a passage intercommunicating the first and second chambers and a valve body normally closing the intercommunicating passage, a solenoid device provided in the second chamber for on-off driving of the diaphragm in response to on-off signals, and a stopper adapted to open the intercommunicating passage by pressing the valve body when the valve assembly is displayed by a predetermined distance for feeding vacuum signals proportional to the engine load from an output port of the housing to a flow control valve when on-off signals are supplied to the solenoid device.

An orifice apparatus is provided which couples a vacuum advancer of a distributor associated with an engine for a vehicle with a carburetor of the engine. The orifice apparatus includes a body having an upper and a lower opening between which an isolation wall is formed in which a plurality of orifices are circumferentially spaced apart at an equal angular interval. A plurality of orifice members are disposed below the isolation wall and each has an orifice of a different diameter formed therein which is located below one of the plurality of orifices. A rotary plate is disposed above the isolation wall and is secured to a regulating member in the form of a rotatable shaft. A seal member is bonded to the lower surface of the rotary plate, which is formed with a passage port which can be brought into alignment with one of the plurality of orifices formed in the isolation wall. The rotary plate is urged by a single coiled spring toward the isolation wall so that the seal member is pressed to provide a hermetic seal between the rotary plate and the upper surface of the isolation wall. The seal member is formed with a plurality of openings, each corresponding to one of the plurality of orifices in the isolation wall and having a greater dimension than the corresponding orifice. These openings are circumferentially spaced apart at an equal angular interval. The regulating member is driven for rotation to move the passage port of the rotary plate from a position in which it is substantially aligned with one of the plurality of orifices formed in the isolation wall to another position in which it is aligned with another orifice, whereby the particular orifice which provides a communication between chambers formed in the body of orifice apparatus above and below the isolation wall is changed, thus changing the throttle level of the fluid path which joins the chambers.

A valve device includes a base board and a suction pressure responsive valve having two ports defined by tubular portions. The base board is composed of a pair of superimposed plates and a sealing gasket between the plates. The sealing gasket has a pair of tubular portions disposed respectively in the openings of the base board plate with radial clearances. When the valve temperature exceeds a predetermined value, the bimetal will snap over to communicate the first and second passages so that the vacuum from the carburetor advance port can act upon the control valve.
