A vibration damping rubber bushing including: an inner cylindrical member; a main rubber elastic body bonded to an outer circumferential face of the inner cylindrical member; a plurality of anti-slip projections provided on at least one of axial end faces of the inner cylindrical member that project axially outward from the axial end face and extend with ribbed shape in a diametrical direction on the axial end face to produce a spokewise pattern overall; and an annular water barrier projection provided on a diametrical medial section of the at least one of the axial end faces of the inner cylindrical member, projecting axially outwardly and extending circumferentially, with the anti-slip projections being disposed to both radially inner side and radially outer side of the annular water barrier projection.

Vibration damping rubber bushing

A stabilizer bushing is provided which effectively reduces a torsional friction between a bushing body and a stabilizer bar. The stabilizer bushing includes a bushing bodymade of a tubular elastic body, a sliding memberfixed to an inner circumferential surface of the tubular elastic body, and two partition membersembedded in and bonded to a radially middle area of the bushing body. The partition membersdivide the bushing bodyinto an inner rubber portionthat is thin enough not to be elastically-deformed by a load applied thereto and an outer rubber portionthat is thicker than the inner rubber portion. Further, each of the partition membersincludes through holesthat are located so as to divide the partition member into a plurality of sections both in the axial and circumferential directions.

A method of manufacturing a cylindrical member having anti-slip projections formed on axial end faces, the method comprising the steps of: employing a roller die, which is provided with a circumferential die groove of annular form extending through a medial section in a generatrix direction of a die face defined by an integral tapered outside peripheral face, and with a plurality of sloping die grooves extending in a tapered slope direction of the die face situated to both large-diameter and small-diameter sides of the circumferential die groove; providing plastic working to the axial end face with the small-diameter side of the roller die facing towards an inner peripheral side of the cylindrical member and with the large-diameter side facing towards an outer peripheral side, by pushing the die face against the axial end face while rotating circumferentially; and forming simultaneously an annular water barrier projection and the anti-slip projections.

A fluid filled cylindrical vibration damping device having a main rubber elastic body elastically connecting an inner shaft member and an intermediate cylindrical member, wherein base wall portions of either of a pair of pocket portions are constituted by the main rubber elastic body to actively rise opposing positive/negative pressure fluctuations in a pair of fluid chambers at times of vibration input across the inner shaft member and the outer cylindrical member; a low-frequency orifice passage and a high-frequency orifice passage are provided; and the high-frequency orifice passage is provided in an aperture section thereof leading to at least one of the pair of fluid chambers with a moveable film adapted to limit fluid flow through the high-frequency orifice passage on the basis of displacement and/or deformation thereof.

Fluid-filled cylindrical vibration-damping device

A cylindrical fluid-filled elastic mount which has a structure that avoids or mitigates a deterioration of damping effect, when an outer cylindrical member is subjected to a diameter-reducing operation. A cylindrical fluid-filled elastic mount including; a communication groove connecting a pair of pockets in the circumferential direction formed in an elastic body; fluid chambers provided by the corresponding pockets; an orifice member having a trough-form protrusion in which both-side wall portions provided at an end of the orifice groove are formed by an elastic material. The trough-form protrusion is inserted in the communication groove. At least one hollow groove is provided along the communication groove where the trough-form protrusion is inserted, and the hollow groove is formed longer in the circumferential direction than a length of a protrusion part of the trough-form protrusion.

A spring seat of a suspension for an automotive vehicle, which is capable of preventing occurrence of noises and preventing buckling deformations thereof has a spring seat body composed of an elastic rubber body. The spring seat body is interposed and pressed between a coil spring and an opposed member. This spring seat body has a plurality of non-through holes which are formed so as to be directed toward a first surface of the spring seat body from a second surface located on the side of the opposed member, and which have openings on the side of the second surface. In addition, the spring seat body has air passages connecting the non-through holes with the surface of the spring seat body other than the second surface on the side of the opposed member.

Spring seat of suspension for automotive vehicle

A vibration isolating bushing including: an elastic body disposed in between and elastically connecting an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve. The elastic body has two pairs of axial bores diametrically opposed to each other and axially extends therethrough between the inner and outer sleeves to be independent of each other, and is circumferentially divided in terms of stress transmission by the two pairs of axial bores into two pairs of segments diametrically opposed to each other. Two diametric lines, extending in directions in which the two pairs of axial bores are respectively opposed to each other, intersect obliquely so that the two pairs of segments are made different from each other in their circumferential lengths for differentiating spring characteristics of the bushing in two diametric directions in which said two pairs of segments are opposed to each other, respectively.

Vibration isolating bushing

A method of manufacturing a fluid-filled cylindrical damping assembly having sufficiently large extraction-resisting force in an axial direction of a metallic shaped product and an intermediate sleeve by the process following. There is provided a sealing rubber layer at an inner circumferential surface of the metallic shaped product having a tapered cylindrical shape where the inner flange portion is provided at an end portion of a small-diameter side. At least one concave groove is formed at an inside surface of an inner flange portion The metallic shaped product is inserted on an outer circumferential surface of an intermediate molded-body in a non-compressible fluid, and is diameter-reduced so as to be fitted and fixed. A large-diameter side end portion of the metallic shaped product is radially inwardly bent to form an engaging portion, and the engaging portion is engaged with a large-diameter side end portion of the intermediate sleeve.

Method of manufacturing a fluid-filled cylindrical damping assembly

A fluid-filled vibration damping bushing including an inner tubular metal member and an outer peripheral sleeve elastically connected via a base rubber interposed therebetween with first and second fluid chambers formed therein. A stopper rubber constituted as a separate element from the base rubber, disposed at a circumferential location corresponding at a minimum to either the first or second fluid chamber, for restricting relative displacement of the inner tubular metal member and outer tubular metal member in an axis-perpendicular direction. The stopper rubber is formed separately from an orifice member and bonded to one axial end portion of the outer tubular metal member at a location outside the first and second fluid chambers so as to face toward the inner tubular member. The outer tubular metal member with the stopper rubber attached thereto is inserted onto the outer peripheral sleeve from the other axial end thereof.

Fluid-filled vibration damping bushing

A fluid-filled active damping apparatus having a pressure receiving chamber divided by a partition member into a primary fluid chamber and an auxiliary fluid chamber. The partition member houses a movable plate extending entirely across between opposing faces of upper and lower through holes of the partition member. Elastic projections of the movable plate from its outer peripheral portion are held sandwiched between upper and lower divider plates of the partition member, so that the movable plate is exposed to the primary fluid chamber through the upper through hole and to the auxiliary fluid chamber through the lower through hole. A connecting gap is formed between the upper and lower divider plates and the peripheral portion of the movable plate where the elastic projections have not been formed, to connect the primary and the auxiliary fluid chambers through the through holes and the connecting gap.

Fluid-filled active damping apparatus

A fluid filled vibration damping device including: an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second mounting member and partially defining a pressure receiving chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid and undergoing fluid pressure variation upon application of vibrational load between the first and second mounting members; a flexible diaphragm partially defining an equilibrium chamber filled with the non-compressible fluid and whose volume is variable; and an orifice passage permitting a fluid communication between the pressure-receiving chamber and the equilibrium chamber. The flexible diaphragm is constituted by a rubber elastic layer having an annular thick-walled portion and a central thick-walled portion situated at a substantially central portion of an inner area surrounded by the annular thick-walled portion, while being independent of the annular thick-walled portion.

A vibration damping actuator including: a cup-shaped housing; an output member disposed spaced apart from an opening end of the housing; a guide rod disposed on the output member and positioned inserted into a guide hole; a coil member provided to one of the housing and the output member; an armature disposed on an other of the housing and the output member, the armature being adapted to exert actuating force on the output member; an annular fixing member arranged about the output member; a support rubber plate disposed between the annular fixing member and the output member; and a positioning projection formed at an inside peripheral edge of the fixing member by projecting the inside peripheral edge of the fixing member in cylindrical configuration in an axial direction towards an inside of the housing. The positioning projection is disposed at a location situated inward by a predetermined distance from the opening of the housing for positioning the fixing member relative to the housing.

Active vibration damping actuator and active damping apparatus using the same

A cylindrical vibration-damping device includes: a rubber bushing having a rubber elastic body elastically connecting an inner sleeve and a resin outer sleeve; a rigid mounting member having a cylindrical bore into which the rubber bushing is press fit; an engaging stepped face formed on an inner surface of the mounting member; and an engaged stepped face produced on an outer surface of the outer sleeve once the outer sleeve is press fit into the cylindrical bore of the mounting member, by means of elastic deformation of the outer sleeve. The engaged stepped face is opposed to the engaging stepped face in an axial direction of the device, and is brought into engagement with the engaging stepped face so as to exhibit a resistance to dislodging of the rubber bushing from the mounting member in at least one of opposite axial directions. The method of producing the same is also disclosed.

Cylindrical vibration damping device

A fluid-filled vibration-damping device including an elastic body elastically connecting a first and a second mounting member, a pressure-receiving chamber disposed inward of and partially defined by the elastic body, and a flexible rubber layer disposed outwardly of and cooperating with the elastic body to form an equilibrium chamber held in fluid communication with the pressure-receiving chamber through a first orifice passage. The first mounting member includes an elastic-body central member and a rubber-layer central member, which are fixed together at their abutting surfaces by a fixing mechanism, to constitute the first mounting member, and positioned relative to each other by an engagement of a fitting recess and projection formed on their abutting surfaces. A peripheral portion of an interface between the abutting surfaces of the elastic-body central member and said rubber-layer central member entirely faces the equilibrium chamber and/or the pressure-receiving chamber.

Fluid-filled vibration damping device

A vibration damping actuator including: a guide hole open onto a bottom face of a housing; a lid metal plate fitted into the opening of the guide hole with a size enough to hinder inward displacement thereof into the guide hole by an annular shoulder portion; an engaging groove disposed on an inner circumferential surface of the opening; a snap ring of C-letter shape fitted into the engaging groove to prevent the lid metal plate from becoming dislodged from the opening; and a sealing rubber layer formed covering an inside face of the lid metal plate. The lid metal plate is pressed by the snap ring so that the sealing rubber layer is pushed against the annular shoulder portion, thereby sealing the opening of the guide hole.
