A radio frequency (RF) receiver includes an oscillator for outputting an oscillation signal from an output port thereof, a limiter for dividing the oscillation signal output from the oscillator into a branch signal at a predetermined dividing ratio outputting the branch signal, an amplifier for amplifying the branch signal output from the limiter, a frequency multiplier for outputting a local oscillation signal having a frequency obtained by multiplying a frequency of the amplified signal by a predetermined multiplicand, a mixer for mixing the local oscillation signal and a signal supplied from an antenna, a band-pass filter for receiving a signal output from the mixer and outputting an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, a detector for producing a detected signal by detecting the IF signal, and a controller connected directly with the output port of the oscillator for performing an operation according to the detected signal based on the oscillation signal as a clock signal. This RF receiver can be inexpensive.

RF receiver

An optically transparent touch panel includes an upper substrate provided with an upper conductive layer formed on a lower surface thereof, and a lower substrate provided with a lower conductive layer formed on an upper surface thereof in a manner to confront the upper conductive layer with a predetermined space. The upper and lower substrates are bonded together with a spacer having a modulus of elasticity between 10and 10Pa. The touch panel has a long usable life with the capability of downsizing the whole body, while maintaining a required effective operating area.

Transparent touch panel and a method of manufacturing the same

A monopole antenna is formed of a ground plane, a flat conductor faced to the ground plane and separated from it by a clearance 'H', and a linear conductor that is connected to the flat conductor, extended on the ground plane side in an insulated state from the ground plane, and connected to a signal source. The flat conductor is formed of an inner conductor, and outer conductors disposed on the outer periphery of the inner conductor at a predetermined interval. Set regions of the outer edge of the inner conductor and the inner edges of the outer conductors are interconnected through one or more coupling conductors.

Monopole antenna

On the top surface of conductive ground plate, first holder having first antenna element, second holder having second antenna element, and support having parasitic antenna element are provided such that holders and support confront each other. Respective intermediate sections of antenna elements are folded to shape like 'square C' in plural times, so that antenna is formed. The foregoing construction allows low-profiling and downsizing antennas to be used in mobile radio devices.

Antenna

A composite antenna has a conductor ground plate having a preset shape, a plurality of antenna elements faced to each other and separated from the conductor ground plate by predetermined element interval, and feeding terminals for feeding power to the antenna elements via transmission lines in the same phase. The antenna elements and the feeding terminals are disposed symmetrically with respect to the center of the conductor ground plate. Even when the number of operating frequencies is increased to three or more, the composite antenna is thin and small and can provide a predetermined directional characteristic.

Composite antenna

An antenna element includes a conductive ground plane, planar first and second antenna elements, and feeding points. The first antenna element confronts the ground plane at a given interval, and the second antenna element surrounds parts of the outer periphery of the first antenna element at a certain interval. Each one of the feeding points is provided to the first and the second antenna elements for feeding high-frequency signals to those elements. The foregoing construction allows achieving a compact antenna device that can perform a polarization diversity communication.

Antenna device

The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting an object-to-be-printed and aims at providing an apparatus for detecting an object-to-be-printed which is capable of discriminating whether the object-to-be-printed is plain paper or special paper. The apparatus includes an infrared sensor for detecting infrared rays radiated by heating the object-to-be-printed with heating means and is capable of discriminating whether the object-to-be-printed is plain paper or special paper.

Object-to-be-printed detector and print detecting method

A recording device capable of accurately detecting the presence and absence of ink particles ejected from plural ejecting outlets aligned in a lateral direction of a head thereof. In the recording device, the sensing field of an infrared sensor is directed toward flying ink particles but directed toward landed particles. Whereby the thermal energy from the landing ink particles remarkably increases a thermal energy applied to infrared sensor.

The present invention relates to an infrared detector element to detect infrared rays by means of a pyroelectric material, and an infrared sensor unit and an infrared detecting device using the infrared detector element and has an object of realizing an omnidirectional infrared detector element that can gain an output against an object to be detected moving in whatever directions. In order to accomplish this object, the present invention proposes a setup comprising a pair of first electrodes ( ), which have a function of absorbing infrared rays, are close to trapezoidal in shape, respectively, and are disposed on one of the surfaces of a pyroelectric material ( ) with electrical connections made in such a way that the first electrodes are opposite to each other in polarity, and a pair of second electrodes ( ) disposed on the other surface of the pyroelectric material ( ) and electrically connected with each other, in which the lower side of the close to trapezoidal shape of the first electrodes ( ) of one hand is aligned in the same direction as the lower side of the close to trapezoidal shape of the second electrodes ( ) of the other hand, thereby producing an effect of gaining an output against an object to be detected making a movement from whatever directions.

Infrared detector element, and infrared sensor unit and infrared detecting device using it

An object of the invention is to provide a pyroelectric type infrared sensor without external lens, made in a compact size, and having an improved sensibility. A pyroelectric element for detecting infrared rays is provided in a sealed tube (sealed body) having an opening, at said opening is provided an incident infrared ray filter. A diffraction optical lens (diffraction optical element) for focusing or imaging infrared rays is provided on the front or back surface of said incident infrared ray filter.

In an objective holder actuator assembly comprising an objective, an objective holder, a bearing, a focusing control coil, a tracking control coil and a balancer, an acrylate resin member is disposed between an objective holder and focusing and tracking control coils and the objective holder is made of ceramic material to reduce the resonance peak values of the movable segment of the objective actuator at high-order resonance frequencies and increase the high-order resonance frequencies.
