A compressor includes a motor, a compression mechanism portion driven by the motor, and a rotation shaft connecting the motor and the compression mechanism portion. At least a part of the rotation shaft is composed of a material having a higher Young's modulus than that of cast iron, and having a higher thermal conductivity than that of cast iron.

A motor includes a rotor rotatable in a rotating direction about an axis, and a stator surrounding the rotor. A rotor core includes a magnet insertion hole corresponding to one magnetic pole, and a plurality of slits on an outer side of the magnet insertion hole in the radial direction. The slits include a first slit located most upstream in the rotating direction. Each slit has a tip portion and a root portion. The tip portion of the first slit is located upstream of the root portion of the first slit in the rotating direction, and is located upstream of a magnetic pole center in the rotating direction. The root portions of the slits are disposed more in number in a second region downstream of the magnetic pole center in the rotating direction than in a first region upstream of the magnetic pole center in the rotating direction.

A sensor magnet includes: a first magnetic-pole part including a magnetic pole of first polarity; a second magnetic-pole part including a magnetic pole of second polarity; and an inter-pole part formed between the first magnetic-pole part and the second magnetic-pole part. A permanent-magnet-embedded electric motor for a compressor includes a stator core and a rotor. The rotor includes a rotor core including a plurality of magnet insertion holes, and an end plate disposed on an end portion of the rotor core in an axial direction of the rotor core. An outer diameter of the end plate is equal to an outer diameter of the rotor core. The end plate is formed of a magnetic material that is more ferromagnetic than a magnetic material of the rotor core. A plurality of through-holes each communicating with corresponding one of the magnet insertion holes are formed in the end plate, the through-holes extending in the axial direction of the rotor.

Permanent-magnet-embedded electric motor for compressor, compressor, and refrigeration cycle device

A permanent-magnet-embedded electric motor includes a stator core including a yoke and a plurality of teeth, a rotor core including a plurality of magnet insertion holes, and a plurality of permanent magnets respectively inserted into the magnet insertion holes, each being arranged with a lateral direction set in a radial direction of the rotor core and with a longitudinal direction set in a direction orthogonal to the radial direction. A stator includes a first core including a plurality of non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheets stacked in layers and having an insertion hole penetrating the plurality of non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheets in an axial direction of the stator and a second core arranged in the insertion hole and including a plurality of oriented electromagnetic steel sheets stacked in layers. A motor rotor includes: a shaft; a smaller-radius iron core fixedly attached to an outer peripheral surface of the shaft; a larger-radius iron core disposed spaced apart from the smaller-radius iron core in a radial direction perpendicular to an axis of the shaft, which is formed in a ring shape in cross section by a combination of a plurality of iron core blocks, and disposed to share a common axis with the smaller-radius iron core; and an insulating resin portion used to fix the smaller-radius iron core and the larger-radius iron core. A motor including a rotor, and a stator having a plurality of coils wound around slots, wherein at least any one of the coils includes a single aluminum wire, a single copper wire joined to the aluminum wire, a stranded wire (lead wire) joined to the copper wire, a cold-pressure-welded joint portion (joint portion) joined between the aluminum wire and the copper wire by cold pressure welding, and a non-pressure welded joint portion (joint portion) provided between the copper wire and the stranded wire (lead wire). A burr covered by an insulation member (insulation tube) is provided in the cold-pressure-welded joint portion (joint portion). A thickness of the insulation member (insulation tube) is larger than a height of the burr.
