A sheet stacking apparatus includes a discharge unit, a stacking portion on which discharged sheets are stacked, a lifting unit, and first and second abutting portions. The lifting unit lifts and lowers the stacking portion. The first abutting portion abuts a trailing end of the stacked sheets in a sheet discharge direction. The first abutting portion does not move in an up-down direction. The second abutting portion abuts the stacked sheets trailing end. The first abutting portion supports the second abutting portion such that the second abutting portion is movable in the up-down direction. If the stacking portion is lowered from a first to a second position below the first position, the second abutting portion does not move in accordance with the stacking portion. If the stacking portion is further lowered beyond the second position, the second abutting portion moves in accordance with the stacking portion.

Sheet stacking apparatus, sheet processing apparatus, and image forming system

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form a toner image on one surface of a recording material, a fixing unit configured to fix the toner image on the surface of the recording material in a nip portion formed by a heating unit and a pressing unit, a discharge unit configured to discharge the recording material on which the toner image has been fixed to a discharge tray, and a recording material conveyance path between the fixing unit and the discharge unit. In a conveyance direction of the recording material from the fixing unit to the discharge unit, a fan is disposed between the fixing unit and the discharge unit. The fan takes in air from an intake portion that takes in air of the recording material conveyance path and exhausts air such that air is applied to the recording material discharged from the discharge unit.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member, an intermediary transfer member, a transfer portion, a cleaning portion, and an air blowing portion. The air blowing portion blows the air toward an outer peripheral surface of the intermediary transfer member in a moving direction of the intermediary transfer member away from the transfer portion, at a position between the transfer portion and the cleaning portion with respect to a movement direction of the intermediary transfer member.

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a storage unit storing a sheet, a conveyance member to convey a sheet, a support shaft portion, and a separation unit. The support shaft portion has one end fixed to a main body of the sheet conveyance apparatus and the other end as a free end that is not fixed to the main body. The separation unit pinches and conveys a sheet with the conveyance member and separates a plurality of sheets stored in and fed from the storage unit one by one. The separation unit includes a separation member that is supported by the support shaft portion and rotatable with the support shaft portion, and a holding member to hold the separation member. By moving the holding member in an axial direction of the support shaft portion, the separation unit is removed from the apparatus with the holding member holding the separation member.

Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus, including an image forming unit to form an image on a recording medium, includes a storage unit storing the recording medium and disposed to be drawable toward a front side of the image forming apparatus, a first stacking unit, an image reading unit disposed at an image forming apparatus upper portion, a document stacking unit disposed above the first stacking unit and at an image reading unit front side, and a second stacking unit. The first stacking unit stacks the recording medium having the image and which is discharged toward the front side. The image reading unit reads an image formed on a document having the image formed thereon in advance. The document stacking unit stacks the document. The second stacking unit stacks the document having the image read by the image reading unit and which is discharged toward an image reading unit back side.
