A humidity control device of an air conditioner having an air conditioner body and being capable of controlling a humidity as well as conditioning air during heating, drying and like operations, comprises a target humidity setting unit for setting a target humidity in accordance with operation modes, a humidity sensor for detecting a humidity in a room, a humidity setting element for setting a humidity in the room, a control unit for comparing the humidity detected by the humidity detecting element with the humidity set by the humidity setting unit and controlling the compared humidity, and a humidifier responsive to the control unit to receive an operation command signal from the control unit in accordance with the detected and set humidities to thereby control the humidity in the room. The humidifier is arranged independently from the air conditioner body and the control unit transmits a humidifier control signal to the humidifier through a wireless transmission. A controller is further provided for controlling the air conditioner and a remote controller for controlling the operation of the controller is also provided.

Humidity control device of air conditioner

A refrigeration cycle has a compressor, an outdoor rotary-type heat exchanger, a motor-operated expansion valve, and an indoor rotary-type heat exchanger which are sequentially connected to each other to circulate a refrigerant. A tank is set in a connected state or a non-connected state with respect to a refrigerant discharge side of the compressor. A detector detects at least a pressure at one side of each of the exchangers. A first controller sets the tank in a non-connected state when a normal operation of an air conditioner is to be started, and controls the capacity of the compressor, the rotational speed of the exchangers, and the opening degree of the valve in accordance with an air-conditioning load, thereby performing the normal operation of the air conditioner. A second controller causes the compressor to keep operating at a predetermined capacity until a detection pressure from the detector coincides with a preset value, when the air conditioner is to be stopped, and sets the tank in a connected state while controlling the valve to a predetermined opening degree, thereby recovering a refrigerant in the tank. A third controller rotates the exchangers at a predetermined speed when the air conditioner is to be started, and sets the tank in a connected state while controlling the valve to a predetermined opening degree, thereby filling the refrigerant in the exchangers from the tank.

An air conditioning system comprises a converter for converting a commercial AC into DC, an inverter for reconverting the DC into an AC having a predetermined frequency corresponding to an air conditioner load, a compressor driven with the AC from the inverter under a compressor capacity control operation matching the load, a battery used for dealing with a voltage drop of the supply power from the commercial AC power source and for supplying a DC different from the DC converted by the converter to the inverter via a switching element, and a discharge control unit for controlling the switching element in the manner that the battery supplies a current having a predetermined value proportional to a difference between the AC supplied from the power source to the converter and a preset current value.
