A scroll compressor with a stationary scroll, an orbiting scroll, and a discharge port through which a fluid that has been compressed by both the scrolls is discharged. An end plate of the orbiting scroll is provided with an end-plate side stepped portion formed such that, along a spiral of a spiral wrap, the height thereof increases toward a central side of the spiral and decreases toward an outer end side thereof. A spiral wrap of the stationary scroll is provided with a wall-portion side stepped portion formed corresponding to the end-plate side stepped portion such that the height thereof decreases toward the central side of the spiral and increases toward the outer end side thereof. A pair of compression chambers face each other. The ventral side compression chamber communicates with the discharge port before the dorsal side compression chamber communicates with the discharge port.

A motor rotor equipped with a cylindrical rotor core formed by stacking multiple electromagnetic steel plates, end plates and balance weights stacked at both ends of the rotor core, and multiple headed swaging pins penetrating and integrally connecting the rotor core, the end plates, and the balance weights, wherein spacers or washers formed of a harder material than the swaging pins are interposed between the seating surface of the balance weights and the heads of the swaging pins. Thus, resistance of the motor rotor to excessive excitation force can be increased and a decrease in fastening strength can easily be prevented without changing the structure integrally fastened together by the swaging pins.

One of a pair of a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll is the scroll including a step portion provided only at a predetermined position along a spiral direction on a blade bottom surface of a spiral wrap, and the other one of the scrolls is the scroll including a step portion provided only at a predetermined position along a spiral direction on a blade tip surface of a spiral wrap. A blade bottom surface of an end plate of the fixed scroll is set as a reference surface for setting a chip gap between both the scrolls. When a wrap height of the spiral wrap of the orbiting scroll is represented by (L) (Lo, Li) and a wrap height of the spiral wrap of the fixed scroll is represented by (lo, li), L (Lo, Li)&#x3e;1 (lo, li) is satisfied.

The power transmission mechanism () includes a pin () attached to the driven scroll member (), a ring body () provided in the driving scroll member () and having an inner circumference in contact with an outer circumference of the pin (), and a circular groove () housing the ring body () and having an inner circumference in contact with an outer circumference of the ring body (). Of surface contact pressure in a contact portion between the outer circumference of the pin () and the inner circumference of the ring body (), and surface contact pressure in a contact portion between the outer circumference of the ring body () and the inner circumference of the circular groove (), the contact portion having higher surface contact pressure has a larger frictional torque.

Scroll fluid machine with improved power transmission mechanism

A method for manufacturing a compressor scroll that appropriately impinges cavitation bubbles on target regions of a scroll. The method includes the step of water jet peening by jetting cavitation bubbles generated underwater by a water jet at a first side of an end plate (A) of the scroll (), with a center (P, P, P) of the cavitation bubbles being offset from a center (O) of the spiral shape of a wall portion (B) on the end plate (A) and the step portion (Aa) and the stepped portion (Ba) positioned at an outer peripheral portion of the cavitation bubbles (C).

The area of a back-pressure chamber is increased so that pressing force on a rotational scroll due to back pressure is enhanced to reduce leakage of refrigerant gas through a chip clearance, thereby achieving improved compression efficiency. Scroll compressor

A scroll compressor, includes: a scroll compression mechanism including an orbiting scroll, a fixed scroll, and a thrust plate supporting a load of the orbiting scroll in a thrust direction; a back-pressure application mechanism that applies, as back pressure, the refrigerant gas compressed by the scroll compression mechanism to a rear surface of the thrust plate; and a floating amount restriction mechanism that restricts an amount of floating of the thrust plate caused by the back pressure. The floating amount restriction mechanism includes a restriction pin that includes a shaft part and a head part, and locks the thrust plate to the head part to restrict the amount of floating. The shaft part passes through the thrust plate and has a front end part fixed to a front housing, and the head part has a diameter larger than a diameter of the shaft part.

Scroll compressor with controlled pressing force

Intended is to provide a fluid machine that can prevent wear of a rotation preventing pin. The fluid machine includes a housing, a fixed scroll fixed with respect to the housing, a turning scroll that revolves around the fixed scroll, and a rotation preventing mechanism that prevents the rotation of the turning scroll. The rotation preventing mechanism includes a rotation preventing pin projected from a wall surface at the housing side or the turning scroll side, and a restraining member that restricts the position of the rotation preventing pin by engaging with the rotation preventing pin. A projecting side end of the rotation preventing pin has a taper shape, and the end of the taper shape has an R-shape.

Provided is a scroll type compressor which reduces variations in the pressing load of a rotating scroll on a fixed scroll, reduces the impact at the start of the compressor and suppresses noises, and can provide excellent durability. A peripheral elastic bodyand a bottom-portion elastic body, which is brought into a compressed condition in the axis line direction of the main shaft, are interposed between a stopper pinon the rotating scroll side and a concave portionon the main shaftside, whereby working errors of each part are compensated and the rotating scroll is constantly brought into close contact with the fixed scroll to maintain the sealing of the compression chamber.

Scroll type compressor having an elastic member to suppress noise and reduce variations

A compressor safety valve releases an abnormal pressure to the outside through a discharge port when the pressure in a compressor has increased abnormally. The valve comprises a cap having an anchoring part integrally formed therewith and mounted on a head portion of a valve main body in an attachable and detachable manner. The valve further comprising an elastic body interposingly mounted between the cap and the head portion of the valve main body in a compressed state and in close contact with the head portion of the valve main body. The elastic body is interposed so as to cover the entirety of a peripheral surface of the discharge port and the cap is anchored to the head portion of the valve main body by the elastic repulsive force of the elastic body, so that the discharge port is closed by the elastic body and the cap.

A scroll compressor that suffers no decrease in compression performance due to leakage resulting from a twisting assembly error is provided. This scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll, each including a spiral wrap protruding from an end plate and having the same tooth thickness (Tr) and the same base-circle radius (b) defining an involute surface. The fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll are offset from each other by an orbiting radius (&#x3c1;) and mesh such that the respective wraps face each other with a phase shift of 180&#xb0;. The orbiting scroll revolves/orbits along a circular orbit with the orbiting radius (&#x3c1;) to compress a gas while a rotation-preventing mechanism prevents rotation of the orbiting scroll.
