A method for forming a multilayer coated film on an object includes steps (1) to (3) below. A first colored coating material is applied to the object, thereby forming a first colored coated film (step (1)). The first colored coating material includes an iron-oxide-coated aluminum pigment and a quinacridone pigment and has a light reflectance property at specific wavelengths. A second colored coating material is applied to the first colored coated film, thereby forming a second colored coated film (step (2)). The second colored coating material includes a perylene pigment and has a specific hue. A clear coating material is applied to the second colored coated film (step (3)). A color difference &#x394;E between the first colored coated film and the multilayer coated film is in a range of 20 to 30.

Method for forming multilayer coated film

In a method of manufacturing an exhaust gas purifying filter that captures and purifies particulates involved in an exhaust gas emitted from an internal combustion engine, a honeycomb mold body of a desired length is firstly made by an extrusion molding step. In a sealing and enlarging step, tapered front parts of a multi-taper jig are inserted into the corresponding openings of the cells. The multi-taper jig is then oscillatory moved in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal length of the ceramic mold body while heating the partition walls forming the cells, so that the opening of one cell is closed and sealed completely and the opening of the adjacent cell is enlarged in area. Finally, the honeycomb mold body is burned.

Manufacturing method of exhaust gas purifying filter

A high reliability ceramic laminate suppresses delamination and cracks. Wide ceramic sheets are temporarily laminated by heat and pressure to form a pre-laminate which is cut to form a unit body. Unit bodies are laminated to obtain a ceramic laminate. Dewaxing removes not less than 90% of a binder resin before the ceramic laminate is sintered.

Method of producing a ceramic laminate

This invention provides a method of producing a ceramic laminate body capable of suppressing the occurrence of de-lamination and cracks, and providing high reliability. This method comprises a heat-bonding step of covering a full periphery of side surfaces of ceramic layerspositioned in an orthogonal direction to a laminating direction with a side surface jig while the ceramic layers are laminated, heating the ceramic layers and pressing the ceramic layers from both end faces positioned in the laminating direction by end face jigs to form a heat-bonded ceramic laminate body; and a side surface grinding step of grinding or cutting the full periphery of the side surfaces inclusive of damage portionsoccurring in the ceramic laminate body in the heat-bonding step.

Method of producing ceramic laminate body

A laminated piezoelectric element () having a ceramic laminate () formed by alternatively laminating a plurality of piezoelectric layers () and a plurality of internal electrode layer (). Laminated piezoelectric element

A piezoelectric element and an injector using the same piezoelectric element are disclosed, which are so high in reliability as not to be shorted even in a high humidity environment, are small in size, are low in cost and are high in heat radiation capability. The piezoelectric element comprises a ceramic laminate () including a plurality of ceramic layers of a piezoelectric ceramic () and a plurality of internal electrode layers (), stacked alternately. At least an organic insulating layer () of an organic material is formed on at least a part of the surface of the ceramic laminate (), and at least an inorganic insulating layer () of an inorganic material is formed on the organic insulating layer ().

Piezoelectric element and injector using the same

A stacked piezoelectric device and a method of fabrication thereof includes a piezoelectric stack having a first side electrode and a second side electrode, piezoelectric layers and internal electrode layers. The piezoelectric layers and internal electrode layers have substantially the same area. The internal electrode layers have ends thereof exposed to one side of the stack. The first side electrode includes first insulative portions formed at the ends of alternate ones of the internal electrode layers and a first conductive portion formed over the first insulative portions. The second side electrode is similarly configured to form insulative portions at the other ends. The first and second insulative portions are formed of an insulative resin, while the first and second conductive portions are formed of a conductive resin. The first and second conductive portions are also formed to directly cover the ends of the internal electrode layers.

Stacked piezoelectric device and method of fabrication thereof

In an insulation structure of a rotary electric machine, a stator winding has connection portions covered with reliable insulation resin coating. The modulus of elasticity of the insulation resin is less than a value which may not cause the insulation resin coating to peel off. The modulus of elasticity changes with the thickness of the insulation resin coating.
