A product sales data processing system includes: a sensor attached to a bulk food container of a product; and a weighing apparatus. The sensor includes: a sensor module that detects displacement of the sensor; a memory that stores a sensor ID that identifies the sensor; and a transmitter that transmits the sensor ID stored in the memory when the sensor module detects a predetermined displacement value. The weighing apparatus includes: a receiver that receives the sensor ID transmitted from the sensor; and a display that displays product information associated with the sensor ID.

Self scanning system

When a customer picks up a commodity at a store aisles and operates a tag device, a PLU code of the commodity is transmitted from the tag device to a weight-scale apparatus. The terminal device is provided corresponding to each commodity. The weight-scale apparatus upon receiving the PLU code increments a counter value (prepared per commodity) in only one step, and displays a commodity icon corresponding to the PLU code on a liquid-crystal touch panel. The counter value increments every time the PLU code is received. The weight-scale apparatus subsequent to weighing issues a label and decrement only a step of the counter value. The icon corresponding to the counter value continues to be displayed unless the counter value does not indicate '0 (zero)'. The icon is erased when the counter value indicates '0 (zero)'. This results in providing superior operations in weighing and selecting various types of commodities, displayed at the store aisles, that are objects to be weighed.

Commodity-vending system and weight-scale apparatus

The present invention is to provide to provide a measuring and printing device by which an operation for replacing a label paper can be performed from the front face of the device and a desired size of the operation screen (display operation unit) can be employed independently of a size of a printer. The measuring and printing device comprises a measuring unit in which a measuring tray is disposed over load cells, and a printing unit for printing prescribed particulars such as the value measured by the measuring unit, wherein the printing unit is disposed substantially at the center of the device and a display operation unit is disposed at the front side of the device, and when the display operation unit has opened, the printing unit is exposed such that a paper can be replaced.

The printing system includes a plurality of heating elements which contact a heat sensitive surface of the labels. This causes the printing of the bars on the bar code label. The control circuit may include means for maintaining a constant, uniform width of the bars on the bar code label.

Bar code printer

Printing control apparatus includes structure for selectively preventing the operation of a thermal head comprising part of a label printer for thermosensitive labels. The thermal head can be moved away from and into contact with a label to limit its operational printing period. Alternately, thermal elements comprising a portion of the thermal head can be deactivated when a label detector fails to detect the presence of a label at a predetermined position, when the contact between the thermal head and a label is inadequate, or when the transportation or feeding of the label over a predetermined path within the printer is abnormal. A method for using the apparatus to selectively prevent the thermal head from being operational is also provided.
