Light-Emitting Compound A composition comprising a light-emitting compound having a peak wavelength of at least 650 nm and a material comprising a group of formula (I): wherein Ar, Arand Arin each occurrence are independently selected from a Caromatic group and a 6-20 membered heteroaromatic group of C and N ring atoms and at least one of Ar, Arand Aris a 6-20 membered heteroaromatic group of C and N ring atoms; x, y and z are each independently at least 1; n, m and p are each independently 0 or a positive integer; and R, Rand Rin each occurrence is independently a substituent or a single bond to a polymer chain, wherein the group of formula (I) has no more than 3 single bonds to a polymer chain. The composition may be used in the light-emitting layer of an infrared organic light-emitting device.

Metal complex and light emitting device using the same

Provided is a metal complex which is excellent in quantum yield and full width at half maximum of a light emission spectrum. The metal complex is represented by the following formula (1): wherein M represents an iridium atom or the like, nrepresents 1 to 3, nrepresents 0 to 2, Xto Xrepresent a carbon atom or the like, Rto Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or the like, one of Xand Xis a single bond, and the other is a group represented by &#x2014;CRR&#x2014;CRR&#x2014;, Rto Rrepresent an alkyl group or the like, ring A represents a heteroaromatic ring, and A-G-Arepresents an anionic bidentate ligand.

A metal complex represented by the following formula (1) is provided.  In formula (1), M represents an iridium atom or a platinum atom; nrepresents 1, 2 or 3. nrepresents 0, 1 or 2; Eto Erepresent a nitrogen atom or a carbon atom; Rto Rrepresent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkoxy group, a cycloalkoxy group, an aryl group, an aryloxy group, a monovalent heterocyclic group or a halogen atom; Xand Xrepresent a direct bond, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, &#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;, &#x2014;CR&#x2014; or &#x2014;NR&#x2014;; A-G-Arepresents an anionic bidentate ligand; and Grepresents an atomic group constituting a bidentate ligand together with Aand A.

A high-molecular compound including a group indicated by general formula (11) as a repeating unit. In formula (11) n1 indicates an integer of 1-3. Arindicates an arylene group, a divalent aromatic heterocyclic group, or a divalent aromatic amine residue, and these groups may have a substituent group. If there is a plurality of Ar, the Arcan be the same or can be different. It is an object of the present invention to provide a composition using a polymer compound, which is useful for manufacturing a blue phosphorescent light-emitting device excellent in luminous efficiency. The present invention provides a composition including: a polymer compound substantially consisting of a constitutional unit selected from a constitutional unit represented by Formula (1)-1 below, a constitutional unit represented by Formula (1)-2 below, a constitutional unit represented by Formula (2)-1 below, a constitutional unit represented by Formula (2)-2 below, and a constitutional unit derived from a phosphorescent light-emitting compound having a light-emitting spectrum peak at smaller than 480 nm and the polymer compound containing at least both of the constitutional unit represented by Formula (1)-1 and the constitutional unit represented by Formula (1)-2; and a phosphorescent light-emitting compound having a light-emitting spectrum peak at smaller than 480 nm.
