A substrate conveying system includes a mounting device conveyor for conveying a printed substrate in a first horizontal direction, an upstream-side conveyor, a downstream-side conveyor, and a buffer conveyor. The mounting device conveyor has a function of moving the printed substrate in a horizontal Y direction perpendicular to the conveying direction. The upstream-side conveyor is spaced apart from the downstream-side conveyor in the Y direction. The buffer conveyor has a function of conveying the printed substrate in the first direction, and a function of moving the printed substrate in the Y direction. When the mounting device conveyor and the buffer conveyor are positioned in the same position in the Y direction, the printed substrate is transferred from one of these conveyors to the other.

Substrate conveying system for electronic component mounting device

A substrate stopped at a first position is transferred toward a second position and is stopped at the second position in an accurate and stable manner. An intermediate position arrival time AT is measured while the substrate is being transferred from a substrate stop position toward a mounting work position, and a transfer status of the substrate (whether or not an unexpected factor has occurred) is assessed based on the intermediate position arrival time AT. Before the substrate reaches the second position, a deceleration pattern is controlled by altering a deceleration start timing Tand the deceleration b in accordance with the intermediate position arrival time AT, thereby accurately stopping and positioning the substrate at the mounting work position. In this manner, under feed-forward control, the substrate can be stably transferred to the mounting work position.

Substrate transfer apparatus

A screen printing apparatus in which two printing units are provided in a production line which transports boards from a single board exit position set on a downstream side in a conveyance direction. One printing unit being disposed is available for set-up tasks while the other printing unit is working. Since set-up tasks can be conducted in one printing unit while the other printing unit is working, then it is possible to improve through-put dramatically even in cases where small-volume diverse-component production is carried out in a single lane.
