A fuel injectormay comprise a valve bodyhaving a fuel path, a valve seatfixed to a downstream end of the valve body, and a valvethat opens and closes a fuel injection hole of the valve seat. The valve may be housed within the valve body in a manner allowing sliding. An armaturemay be attached to an upstream end of the valve, and a valve closing elementmay be attached to a downstream end of the valve. A coremay be disposed at an upstream side of the armature. A downstream end surface of the corefaces an upstream end surface of the armature. When the valveopens the fuel injection hole, the downstream end surface of the coremakes contact with the upstream end surface of the armature. A non-magnetic ringmay be disposed at an outer circumference side of the armatureand the core. The non-magnetic ringmay extend as far as an upstream side of the solenoid coil, and the solenoid coilmay be wound directly around an outer circumference of the non-magnetic ring

Fuel injector

A fuel injector includes a tubular core 3 which attracts an armature 10 of a valve 12 by energizing a solenoid coil 6, and an outside magnetic path forming member 7 which partly surrounds the solenoid coil 6 and which constitutes a magnetic path M together with an armature 10 and the core 3. The outside magnetic path forming member 7 is provided with an end plate 7b having a mounting hole 8, and the core 3 is provided with a flange 3a in contact with the end plate 7b. The core 3 is inserted into the mounting hole 8 of the outside magnetic path forming member 7 such that the end plate 7b comes into contact with the flange 3a of the core 3, thus readily positioning the outside magnetic path forming member 7 on the core 3.

Fuel injector having simplified part shape and simplified assembling

In an air control device including a body, an air passage formed in the body, a throttle valve disposed in the air passage for controlling an air quantity flowing in the air passage, a throttle shaft for mounting the throttle valve and extending across the aiir passage, and a pair of first and second ball bearings mounted in the body for rotatably supporting the throttle shaft; a supporting structure of the throttle valve including a first shoulder formed in the body; a first stopper fixed to the body; an inner ring of the first ball bearing engaged by interference fit with the throttle shaft; an outer ring of the first ball bearing engaged by clearance fit with the body, the outer ring being fixedly sandwiched between the first shoulder and the first stopper under the condition where a thrust is applied to the outer ring in an axial direction of the throttle shaft; a second shoulder formed in the body; a second stopper engaged by interference fit with the body; an inner ring of the second ball bearing engaged by clearance fit with the throttle shaft; and an outer ring of the second ball bearing engaged by clearance fit with the body, the outer ring being fixedly sandwiched between the second shoulder and the second stopper. Further, the surface of the throttle shaft is treated by a low-temperature salt bath nitriding process, so that fretting wear between the throttle shaft and the inner ring of the bearing engaged by clearance fit with the throttle shaft.

Air control device for internal combustion engine

In an air control device including a body, an air passage formed in the body, a throttle valve disposed in the air passage for controlling an air quantity flowing in the air passage, a throttle shaft for mounting the throttle valve and extending across the air passage, and a pair of first and second ball bearings mounted in the body for rotatably supporting the throttle shaft; a supporting structure of the throttle valve including a first shoulder formed in the body; a first stopper fixed to the body; an inner ring of the first ball bearing engaged by interference fit with the throttle shaft; an outer ring of the first ball bearing engaged by clearance fit with the body, the outer ring being fixedly sandwiched between the first shoulder and the first stopper under the condition where a thrust is applied to the outer ring in an axial direction of the throttle shaft; a second shoulder formed in the body; a second stopper engaged by interference fit with the body; an inner ring of the second ball bearing engaged by clearance fit with the throttle shaft; and an outer ring of the second ball bearing engaged by clearance fit with the body, the outer ring being fixedly sandwiched between the second shoulder and the second stopper.
