A refrigerating cycle apparatus including an inverter driven compressor with controllable speed of rotation, a four-way valve, an indoor heat exchanger, a pressure reducing device, outdoor heat exchanger, a defrosting condition detector for detecting a frosting state of the outdoor heat exchanger in a heating operation, a defrosting operation controller for carrying out a defrosting operation based on a detection signal from the defrosting condition detector and having a minimum operable frequency controller for controlling a minimum operable frequency for the compressor on restarting after completion of the defrosting operation and/or a starting speed controller for controlling a starting speed for the compressor based on a detection signal from the defrosting condition detector on restarting after completion of the defrosting operation in order to provide proper lubrication after a defrost operation.

Blowing direction of conditioned air can be adjusted while constantly keeping an arbitrary phase difference in blowing direction between the groups.

Blowing direction control device for an air conditioner

An air conditioning system comprising a refrigerant circuit. A thermal storage device is arranged in the refrigerant circuit and can store heat and utilize the stored heat to increase heating capacity at the time of kickoff of heating. A temperature detector detects a temperature at a thermal storage portion of a thermal storage and radiating heat exchanger which is housed in the thermal storage device. A counter counts a thermal storage operation period required for the temperature detected at the thermal storage portion to achieve a predetermined value, outputs a signal indicative of stopping a thermal storage operation when the detected temperature has achieved the predetermined value, counts the lapse of a predetermined thermal storage operation stoppage period after stop of the thermal storage operation, and outputs a signal indicative of starting the thermal storage operation when a predetermined thermal storage operation stoppage time has passed. A controller controls comparing the counted thermal storage operation period with a present value, and determines the next thermal storage operation stoppage period, depending on the length of the counted thermal storage operation period.

An air conditioning apparatus comprises a plurality of outlet ports, a blowing fan for blowing off an conditioned air from the outlet ports to the outside of the main body of the apparatus, an air directing plate arranged in at least one of the outlet ports to enable the direction of the conditioned air to change, an operation state detecting device for detecting the operation state of the main body, and a driving device for adjusting the position of the air directing plate, depending on signals from the operation state detecting device.

A separate air conditioner includes a heat exchanger, an upper fan, a lower fan, the first air flow control for controlling the upper and lower fans in an initial heating period such that the ratio of an upper air flow from the upper fan to a total air flow from both the upper and lower fans decreases as the total air flow increases; and the second air flow control for controlling the upper and lower fans in a stable heating state such that the ratio increases as the total air flow increases. Separate air-conditioner

A control device for an air conditioner including a compressor driven by an inverter is disclosed. The control device comprises a floor temperature sensor as well as a room temperature sensor for detecting representative room temperature. A standard operation frequency of the compressor is determined on the basis of the difference between the target temperature and the representative room temperature detected by the room temperature sensor. Adjustment is made to the standard operation frequency according to the difference between the temperatures detected by the two temperature sensors, thereby obtaining an operation frequency of the compressor.

Control device for an air conditioner with floor temperature sensor

A room air conditioner is equipped with an input switch mechanism for indicating room condition. The switch mechanism includes a first switch which a user presses when he feels hot and a second switch which the user presses when he feels cold. A microcomputer controls the operation of the air conditioner in response to signals from the input switch mechanism. When the user presses the first or second switch, the microcomputer automatically changes the set temperature and the temperature of air which is circulated in the room being air conditioned to correct the hot or cold room condition felt by the user to relieve the user's sense of discomfort. The circulated air temperature can be changed by changing the rotational speed of indoor blowers or the compressor, by changing the degree of opening of an electronic expansion valve disposed to provide heat exchange, or by changing the orientation of adjustable louvers such that the air circulates directly from an air outlet to an intake port of the air conditioner.

Room air conditioner

An air conditioning method with use of an air conditioner comprises a step of determining whether or not an input signal is produced from a plurality of switches for providing conditions, a step of determining an established temperature on the basis of the signal from the switches, a step of comparing data provided by the established temperature determining step with the room temperature detected by the temperature detector to produce a signal, and a step of controlling the compressor based on the signal as a result of the comparison.

Air conditioning method

An air conditioning apparatus comprises a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor, a four-way valve, a room side heat exchanger, a pressure-reducing device and an outdoor side heat exchanger are connected in this order, wherein there is provided with a refrigerant temperature detector provided at a pipe line near the outdoor side heat exchanger, a room temperature detector for detecting temperature of a room and a controlling device which is electrically connected to the refrigerant temperature detector and the room temperature detector, said controlling device controlling operations for room-warming and defrosting based on inputs from the detectors.
