There is provided an imaging device including an imaging element that acquires a captured image of a subject, a light emission unit that emits light to the subject, and a control unit that is capable of controlling a timing of exposure performed by the imaging element and a timing of light emission performed by the light emission unit. In a mode in which imaging is performed with a plurality of times of consecutive light emission by the light emission unit, the control unit controls at least one of a timing of the exposure and a timing of the light emission so that light amounts effective for exposure in each imaging are substantially the same.

A cellular mobile station is operable in a telephone mode and a time data display mode. During the time display mode, the station constantly receives an area identifying code transmitted from a cellular mobile communications system. On crossing a boundary between adjoining cell-site areas, a time difference value is entered from a keypad into a location of a memory corresponding to the received code. This process is continued on a learning basis to store as many time difference values into the memory as there are cell-site areas along the route of a journey. Following the learning process, the station constantly receives an area identifying code and recalls one of the stored time difference data from the memory corresponding to a code received on crossing a boundary and modifies displayed timepiece data with the recalled time difference.

Apparatus for displaying time-of-day data adaptively to different time

A vehicle-mounted telephone or similar small-sized equipment having a handset with a liquid crystal display (LCD) and a cradle for holding the handset in place. Sensor is built in at least one of the handset and cradle to determine whether or not the handset is present on the cradle. In response to a sense output of the sensor, a controller varies drive voltage which is applied to an LCD driver and thereby varies the visual angle of the LCD automatically. The drive voltage selectively has a first value associated with a first visual angle which occurs when the handset is mounted on the cradle and a second value associated with a second visual angle which occurs when the handset is removed from the cradle. The controller further controls the drive voltage in such a manner as to selectively apply drive voltage associated with any of a desired number of visual angles to the LCD driver. An implementation is provided for allowing a person to manually change the drive voltage in a stepless or analog fashion as desired.
