A shielded electrically conductive path is provided with a shield terminal including an inner conductor and an outer conductor surrounding the inner conductor, a shielded cable including a core wire fixed to a rear end part of the inner conductor, a braided wire surrounding the core wire and a sheath surrounding the braided wire, and a sleeve mounted on an outer periphery of a front end part of the sheath. In a front end part of the shielded cable, the braided wire extending from a front end of the sheath is folded rearward and put on an outer periphery of the sleeve and a crimping portion in a rear end part of the outer conductor is crimped to the sleeve while surrounding an outer periphery of a folded portion of the braided wire.

Shielded electrically conductive cable connector

It is aimed to reduce a diameter. A shielded electrically conductive path is provided with a shielded cable configured such that a core wire is surrounded with a shield layer, and a shield terminal including an inner conductor to be connected to the core wire and an outer conductor formed with a crimping portion in the form of an open barrel. The crimping portion includes a first crimp portion formed with a projection-like first locking portion and a second crimp portion formed with a second locking portion, and is crimped to an outer surface of the shield layer with the first locking portion locked to the second locking portion. A locking margin of the first locking portion and the second locking portion in a radial direction is within a plate thickness range of the second crimp portion.

A female connector structure is provided with a shielded cable configured such that an outer periphery of a coated wire including a core and an insulation coating is surrounded by a braided wire, a female terminal including a wire barrel and a connecting tube portion continuous with the wire barrel and to be connected to a mating terminal, an insulating dielectric, a front outer conductor including a front tube portion and a dielectric locking portion to be locked to at least a part of the dielectric, and a rear outer conductorincluding a rear tube portion for surrounding the outer periphery of the coated wireexposed from the braided wire, a shield crimping portion to be crimped to the braided wire from outside and a front outer conductor crimping portion to be crimped to the dielectric locking portion from outside.

Connector structure and connector structure manufacturing method

A female connector structure is provided with a shielded cable configured such that an outer periphery of a coated wire including a core and an insulation coating is surrounded by a braided wire, a female terminal including a wire barrel to be connected to the core and a connecting tube portion and to be connected to a mating terminal, an insulating dielectric for surrounding an outer periphery of the connecting tube portion of the female terminal, a rear outer conductor including a shield connecting portion to be electrically connected to the braided wire and a dielectric crimping portion to be crimped to at least a part of the dielectric from outside, and a front outer conductor including a front tube portion for surrounding an outer periphery of the dielectric and a rear outer conductor locking portion for locking at least a part of the dielectric crimping portion from outside.

Connector structure, and connector structure manufacturing method

A female connector structure is provided with a shielded cable configured such that an outer periphery of a coated wire including a core and an insulation coating is surrounded by a braided wire, a female terminal including a wire barrel and a connecting tube portion and to be connected to a mating terminal, an insulating dielectric for surrounding an outer periphery of the connecting tube portion, and an outer conductor including a shield connecting portion, the outer conductor surrounding at least the coated wire. A part of the outer conductor corresponding to the coated wire exposed from the braided wire is formed with a projecting portion by causing a part of an inner surface of the outer conductor to project from other parts radially inwardly of the outer conductor, and an outer surface of the outer conductor is not depressed radially inwardly of the outer conductor.

Connector structure

A metal member-welded structure includes: a Cu member; an Al member; and a welded portion formed by melting and solidifying each of materials of the Cu member and the Al member. The Cu member includes a Cu-based material containing Cu as a main component. The Al member includes an Al-based material containing Al as a main component and a plating layer that covers a side of the Al-based material, the side being close to a surface of the Cu member. The welded portion includes a sea-island structure in a vicinity of the surface of the Cu member. The sea-island structure includes: a plurality of island portions containing pure Al, and a sea portion interposed among the island portions. The sea portion has a eutectic structure having: a phase of an intermetallic compound of Cu and Al; and a phase of pure Al.

Metal member-welded structure and method of manufacturing metal member-welded structure

A crimping portion () of a connection structure of a shielded wire () includes a base plate () along an outer periphery of the shielded wire (). A first crimping piece () is cantilevered from a first side of the base plate () and is crimped to surround the shielded wire (). A second crimping piece () is cantilevered in a direction opposite the first crimping piece () from a second side of the base plate () and is crimped to surround the shielded wire (). A restricting portion () is disposed along the outer periphery of the shielded wire (). First locking portions () of the first crimping piece () and second locking portions () of the second crimping piece () lock the restricting portion () in directions opposite to each other along the circumferential direction.

Wire crimping structure and shielded conductive path

A shielded cable/terminal assembly includes a shielded cable () with a braided wire () between wires () and an outer sheath (). The braided wire () has a folded portion () formed by folding the braided wire () exposed from an end of the outer sheath () toward the outer sheath (). A metal sleeve () is crimped to an outer surface of the outer sheath () inside the folded portion () in a radial direction of the shielded cable (). A terminal () has a barrel () configured to sandwich the folded portion () between the sleeve () and the barrel (), with the barrel () crimped to an outer surface of the folded portion (). The barrel () has protrusions () projecting radially inward of the shielded cable () at positions behind a rear part of the sleeve () in an axial direction.

It is aimed to enhance efficiency in connecting operation to a shielded cable and prevent the impairment of a shielding function. A terminal fitting (T) includes an inner conductor () including core crimping portions () to be crimped to a core (), a dielectric () made of an insulating material, an outer conductor () including a body portion () configured to surround the dielectric (), a braided wire crimping portion () crimpable to a braided wire and a coupling portion () configured to connect the body portion () and the braided wire crimping portion (), parts of the coupling portion corresponding to the core crimping portions () being vertically opened, and a cover member () configured to close both openings () of the coupling portion ().

Terminal fitting

A cable with terminal includes a coaxial cable in which a core, an inner insulating layer, a shield layer and an outer insulating layer are concentrically arranged from an inner side to an outer side, and a terminal connected to the coaxial cable. The terminal includes a pair of barrel pieces crimped in an overlapping state to an exposed part of the shield layer. An engaging protrusion is provided on the barrel piece on one side out of the pair of barrel pieces and projects toward the barrel piece on the other side. The engaging protrusion is engaged with a hole edge part of an engaging hole provided in the barrel piece on the other side.

A terminal-equipped wire configured by crimping a pair of barrel pieces provided on a terminal to an external sheath of a wire, the external sheath being provided on an outer circumferential surface of a core wire. The pair of barrel pieces are wrapped around the external sheath into a polygonal tube shape that has a plurality of corner portions in a circumferential direction of the external sheath, leading end edges of the pair of barrel pieces are arranged on opposite sides of at least one corner portion out of the plurality of corner portions.

A shield wire for use with a terminal fitting has a ring () is fit laterally to an outer cover (), and a braided wire () is folded onto an outer peripheral surface of the ring (). A hooking edge () protrudes over the entire circumference on a front end part of the ring (). A barrel () of an outer conductor terminal () is crimped to the folded braided wire (). Thus, the hooking edge () of the ring () is widened into a horn shape to form a bell-mouth () with the braided wire () hooked to the hooking edge (). Thus, a hooked sate of the braided wire () and the ring () is strengthened, so that a holding force of a terminal fitting (T) onto a shield wire (S) is enhanced.

A communication cable having a communication wire and an armor including at least two synthetic resin layers, and protects the communication wire in a loose state. The communication wire protecting tube includes at least two synthetic resin layers, and inserts the communication wire in a loose state. The most hard resin layer of the armor has a crosswise or spiral annular groove or cut portion continuous in the longitudinal direction to reach the radially inner face, and the outermost layer of the armor is formed of a protective layer made of a softer resin than the hard resin layer. The adjoining edge portions of the annular groove or the cut portion come, when the communication wire is to be bent, into contact with each other so that it may be prevented from being bent to a predetermined or smaller bend radius.
