Systems, apparatuses and methods for controlling the various phases and in particular in a wash cycle of a wash machine are provided. In particular, the present application relates to controlling the water levels and detergent composition concentrations in order to reduce the amount of water and composition required to provide improved soil removal. The systems, apparatuses and methods provided allow for the use of less water and lower quantities of more concentrated detergent compositions which are customized to the types of soil to be removed.

Controlling water levels and detergent concentration in a wash cycle

Disclosed herein are detergent compositions containing extended chain surfactants that form microemulsions with and can remove greasy and oily stains. In certain embodiments the extended nonionic surfactant includes Guerbet Cor C(PO)(EO). The detergent compositions and methods of employing the same beneficially clean soils from textiles including difficult to remove cosmetic soils and food oils, even those comprised of non-trans fats.

Methods of cleaning and soil release of highly oil absorbing substrates employing optimized extended chain nonionic surfactants

A water reuse system and controller for controlling water levels, temperature, and quality in the rinse water reuse system and methods of using the same, in order to optimize water usage. More particularly, the application pertains to a controller and methods of using the controller to regulate water levels and water quality in a water reuse system. As part of detailing the controller and methods of using the same, an apparatus for a water reuse system is also provided.

Methods for controlling a water reuse system in a wash machine

Solid laundry softening compositions and applications of use are disclosed. Solid laundry softening compositions combine quaternary ammonium compounds with an inorganic carrier to provide a flowable powder for solidification in a pressed or extruded solid composition. A high loading of quaternary ammonium compound in the inorganic carrier, including an inorganic salt, can be further combined with softening boosters, processing aids, surfactants, and/or additional functional ingredients to provide stable solid compositions.

Systems, apparatuses and methods for reusing rinse water and recirculating wash water as well as spraying wash water and/or cleaning compositions onto textiles in order to optimize water usage, wash temperature, and composition dosage are provided. An apparatus comprising a water reservoir tank, a drain water pump, a reservoir tank water transfer pump, a control circuit box, at least one diverter drain valve, and a nozzle system comprising a spray nozzle, a valve, and connectors together with a replacement door window, pump, and tubing are further provided for use in the water reuse system. The water reuse system is beneficially combined with a customized cleaning composition to provide improved cleaning performance and effective soil removal.

Rinse water reuse system and methods of use

Systems, apparatuses and methods for easily modifying and using a laundry washing machine to recirculate water and spray wash water and cleaning compositions onto textiles in order to optimize water usage, wash temperature, and composition dosage are provided. An apparatus comprising a replacement door window, a spray nozzle, a pump, tubing, and connectors for use in the modified laundry washing machine is further provided. The modification system provides improved cleaning performance and effective cleaning even in low water conditions.

Laundry machine kit to enable control of water levels, recirculation, and spray of chemistry

An embedded temperature sensor may be attached to or otherwise associated with a textile in order to measure one or more temperatures of the textile. Temperature information received from one or more embedded temperature sensor(s) throughout the course of a dryer cycle may be analyzed to determine dryness of one or more textiles in a dryer, determine whether one or more textiles in the dryer are overdry, generate an indication of the dryness of the one or more textiles in the dryer, and/or to control one or more dryer cycles of the dryer, such as by automatically turning-off the dryer when one or more of the textiles in the dryer are determined to be dry. The embedded temperature sensor may further be used to validate a cleaning process in a cleaning machine.

Solid laundry fabric softening compositions for laundry applications of use are disclosed. In particular, solid laundry fabric softening compositions combining quaternary dialkyl actives with low iodine values and silicone provide softness without causing any significant yellowing or loss of water absorption or wicking to the treated linen. The solid laundry fabric softening compositions can be provided as a multi-use block having uniform dispensing rates and without block sloughing. Beneficially, the combination of processing aids for solidification comprising one or more of (A) polyethylene glycol and an acidulant, (B) a surfactant and an acidulant, or (C) polyethylene glycol, a surfactant and an acidulant, are combined with the quaternary ammonium compounds and silicone to provide the stable solid composition.
