The present disclosure provides a curable composition that includes an epoxy resin and a curing component comprising a blend of at least two amines. The curable composition may be combined with reinforced fibers and cured to form a composite article which can be used in various applications, such as in wind turbine blades.

The present invention relates to an etheramine mixture containing a monoether diamine and its method of production by alkoxylating an initiator with an alkylene oxide to produce a precursor polyol and reductively aminating the precursor polyol to form the etheramine mixture. The etheramine mixture may be used in variety of applications including as a curing agent for an epoxy resin or as a reactant in the production of polyurea.

The compositions have several important attributes, including low toxicity and high efficacy in removing paint and coatings.

Provided herein are cross-linked super absorbing polymers made by reacting a copolymer having an esterifiable acid group with a cyclic alkylene carbonate. The resulting cross-linked materials have an increased ability to retain absorbed liquids even under the influence of applied stress. Catalysts are also disclosed which are useful in promoting the reaction between the alkylene carbonate and copolymer.

A thickened composition and process useful for removing paint, comprising: a carbonate such as propylene carbonate or ethylene carbonate, a thickener such as polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), hydrogen peroxide and water. The composition may include additional cosolvents such as glycol ethers and alcohols such as benzyl alcohol, and/or dibasic ester (DBE).
