A light-emitting apparatus includes a plurality of light-emitting element columns sealed with a sealing member, each including a plurality of light-emitting elements. In at least one of the plurality of light-emitting element columns, the plurality of light-emitting elements are all positioned or a virtual straight line. At least one of the plurality of light-emitting element columns includes at least one set of a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element that are positioned adjacent to each other. The first light-emitting element is disposed to form a first angle between the virtual straight line and a longitudinal direction of the first light-emitting element. The second light-emitting element is disposed to form a second angle different from the first angle between the virtual straight line and a longitudinal direction of the second light-emitting element.

A light-emitting apparatus includes: a ceramic substrate; a light-emitting element mounted on the ceramic substrate; a sealing member sealing the light-emitting element; a buffer layer formed on the ceramic substrate and surrounding the light-emitting element; and a dam member, at least a portion of which is on a top surface of the buffer layer and which is for blocking the sealing member. The dam member is formed in such a way that one end of the dam member which faces the sealing member and is closer to the light-emitting element than the opposite end of the dam member is in contact with the ceramic substrate while the opposite end is out of contact with the ceramic substrate.

A method of manufacturing a light-emitting device which includes a light-emitting source is provided by applying, onto the light-emitting source, a fluorescent resin which includes fluorescent particles and is stored in and discharged from an applicator. The method includes measuring a first concentration which is a concentration of the fluorescent particles included in the fluorescent resin discharged from the applicator; and applying, onto the light-emitting source, the fluorescent resin in an application amount determined based on the first concentration which has been measured and reference data which indicates a relationship between a concentration of the fluorescent particles and an application amount of the fluorescent resin that enables the light-emitting device to have constant chromaticity.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing a light-emitting device including correction of an application amount of a fluorescent resin based on a fluorescent particle concentration

The light-emitting device of the disclosure includes at least one LED chip and a mounting substrate. The mounting substrate includes: a ceramic substrate; a reflection layer situated on a second surface on the opposite side of the ceramic substrate from a first surface; and a gas barrier layer covering the reflection layer. The LED chip is bonded to the first surface of the ceramic substrate. The ceramic substrate has light diffusion and transmissive properties and has a plan size larger than a plan size of the LED chip. The reflection layer has a plan size smaller than a plan size of the ceramic substrate and is formed so as to cover an area larger than a projected area of the LED chip on the second surface of the ceramic substrate.
