A ball bearing inspection device includes: an arbor supporting an inner ring on the outer circumferential surface; a rotary drive unit driving the arbor; a first pressing unit applying a preload to a ball bearing; a second pressing unit applying a preload in an opposite direction of the pressing direction; and a vibration detection unit detecting vibration from the ball bearing. The arbor includes an abutting section that protrudes outward from the outer circumferential surface, a movable flange arranged apart from the abutting section, and a flange drive mechanism switching the movable flange between a first state in which the movable flange protrudes from the outer circumferential surface and a second state in which the movable flange is accommodated within the arbor. The flange drive mechanism is additionally provided with a drive force supply unit that applies drive force for switching to the first or the second state.

Manufacturing method of an outer ring for a bearing unit

A predetermined number of sprags are consecutively inserted into sprag pockets in a boss on a rotary index table by a sprag inserting section . Then, a ribbon spring is fitted to the boss by a ribbon-spring fitting section , and an outer retainer is fitted thereto by an outer-retainer fitting section . At the same time, the boss is continuously rotated to move the sprags radially outward by centrifugal force, thereby allowing the sprags to be inserted and fitted into sprag inserting windows and of the ribbon spring and the outer retainer . Further, an inner retainer is fitted to the boss by an inner-retainer fitting section to insert and fit the sprags into the sprag pockets of the inner retainer

Apparatus of manufacturing a one-way clutch

A predetermined number of sprags 21 are consecutively inserted into sprag pockets 45 in a boss 44 on a rotary index table by means of a sprag inserting section 50. Then, a ribbon spring 22 is fitted to the boss 44 by means of a ribbon-spring fitting section 50, and an outer retainer 23 is fitted to the boss 44 by means of an outer-retainer fitting section 70. At the same time, the boss 44 is continuously rotated to move the sprags 21 toward the radially outward side of the boss 44 by the centrifugal force acting in the sprags 21, thereby allowing the sprags 21 to be inserted and fitted into sprag inserting windows 28 and 30 of the ribbon spring 22 and the outer retainer 23. Further, an inner retainer 24 is fitted to the boss 44 by means of an inner-retainer fitting section 80 to insert and fit the sprags 21 into the sprag pockets 45 of the inner retainer 24.
