Undetermined elements contained in a model formula for the approximation formula representing relation between the slope sample value and the distance sample value are determined using an error evaluation formula for the model formula. The error evaluation formula contains a slope error evaluation component for evaluating a slope error between the slope sample value and a slope model value that is calculated using the model formula, and an altitude error evaluation component for evaluating an altitude error between an altitude model value that is obtained through integration of the slope model value and an altitude value that is obtained from the three-dimensional position data.

In a trolley-wire display device, a display reference point of point-group data is set for each point on a trolley wire having a height and a displacement measured based on a reference obtained from rails. First and second points on a track center line are used to calculate a first distance, and a third distance based on the first distance and a second distance. The first point corresponds to the display reference point. The second point corresponds to each point on the trolley wire. The first distance is a distance from the first point to each second point. The second distance is a distance from a positional start point to the first point. The third distance is a distance from the start point to each second point, and is used to create display data for displaying a height and a displacement of each point on the trolley wire.

The drawing means performs different drawing processes on a measurement point identified as falling within the predetermined range from the construction gauge among the measurement points and on a measurement point identified as not falling within the predetermined range from the construction gauge among the measurement points.

A medical support system includes a patient-side system including patient shooting devices for photographing a patient's body and forming respective images displaying respective parts of the patient's body; a medical-side system located at a position spaced away from the patient-side system and including an image synthesizer for splicing together, at boundary portions, respective adjacent images of the patient's body to produce a composite image displaying an area of the patient's body extending across the respective images, and a display for displaying the composite image produced by the image synthesizer; and a communication link for transmitting information between the medical-side system and the patient-side system and for transferring the images produced by the patient shooting devices to the medical-side system.
