A three-dimensional display device comprises pixel blocks where pixels having a plurality of dots are arranged to be matrix, respectively, a display body formed in a matter that the pixel blocks are arranged in a matrix, lens blocks where a plurality of lenses are arranged to be matrix corresponding to the pixels, respectively, and a lens panel formed in a manner that the lens blocks are arranged in a matrix. A three-dimensional image is displayed by maintaining the display body and the lens panel at predetermined intervals so as to correspond the arrangement positions of the pixel blocks with those of the lens blocks on the matrix, concurrently, and by spatially matching virtual images of the dots, the virtual images being produced by a plurality of the lenses whose arrangement positions are the same among a plurality of the lens blocks.

Three-dimensional display device, image producing device and image display system

A lens array unit focuses the light emitted from light emitting elements on the photoconductive drum. A longitudinally extending lens array includes a plurality of lenses and projections. The lenses are aligned in a row substantially perpendicular to optical axes of the lenses. The projections are disposed on both sides of the row, and extend outwardly further than the lens surfaces to protect the lens surfaces of the plurality of lenses. A light shielding member includes a mounting portion that holds the lens plate and a light shielding portion that shields part light passing through the lenses.

A three-dimensional image displaying apparatus includes a display panel formed of a plurality of pixels having a plurality of light emitting points arranged with a specific interval; a lens panel formed of a plurality of lenses arranged corresponding to the pixels for forming a virtual image of the light emitting points of each of the pixels; a drive unit for driving the light emitting points to emit light according to first drive data specifying the pixels and the light emitting points; and a transportation unit for transporting one of the display panel and the lens panel according to second drive data specifying a distance between the display panel and the lens panel. In the three-dimensional image displaying apparatus, specific ones of the lenses form the virtual images at a same position, thereby displaying one three-dimensional pixel.

A lens array unit includes first lens array plates, second lens array plates and a support member. Each of the first lens array plate has multiple first lenses thereon. Each of the first lenses has a first optical axis that extends in a first direction and the first lenses are arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first. Each of the second lens array plates has multiple second lenses thereon. Each of the second lenses has a second optical axis that extends in the first direction and the second lenses are arranged in the second. The support member has opposite first and second sides. The support member extends in the second direction to support the first lens array plates on the first side and support the second lens array plates on a second side so that each of the first lens array plates opposes a different corresponding one of the second lens array plates. The first lens array plates are arranged on the first side of the support member in the second direction and the second lens array plates are arranged on the second side of the support member in the second direction.

A developing apparatus includes a developing roller, a first shaft, a second shaft, a belt, and a power supply. The developing roller is in contact with an image forming body. The first shaft is driven in rotation by an external drive source. The belt is entrained about the first and second shafts, and is partially at first and second portions in a wrapping contact with the developing roller. The power supply applies voltages to the first and second shafts such that a voltage drop appears in the belt in a direction of travel of the belt. The power supply applies a voltage to the developing roller such that a first electric field is developed across the developing roller and the first portion, and such that a second electric field in the opposite direction to the first electric field is developed across the developing roller and the second portion.

Developing apparatus and image forming apparatus

A lens array unit includes first and second lens array plates that oppose each other on opposite sides of a support member. Each of the lens array plates supports a set of lenses that are arranged in one direction and that have optical axes extending in a direction perpendicular to the one direction. The bending rigidity of the support member in the direction that the optical axes extend is higher than the bending rigidity of the first lens array plate in that direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a determining unit, an image forming unit, a fixing member, a pressing member, a separating member and a release agent applying member. The fixing member fixes the developer image to the recording medium. The pressing member is pressed against the fixing member to form a nip portion therebetween. The separating member is disposed on a downstream side of the nip portion so that the separating member has no contact with the fixing member. The separating member separates the recording medium from the fixing member. The release agent applying member applies a release agent to the fixing member.

Image forming apparatus and image printing system for borderless printing

A projection display apparatus includes an image forming section that forms an image based on image information received from an external device, and a projection lens that projects the image formed by the image forming section. The projection display apparatus includes a substrate, a plurality of light emitting elements, a first driver and a second driver. The light emitting elements are two-dimensionally arranged on the substrate. The light emitting elements include rows of light emitting elements and columns of light emitting elements such that the rows are substantially perpendicular to the columns. The first driver element selectively drives the rows. The second driver element selectively drives the columns. The plurality of light emitting elements include three groups of light emitting elements aligned either in the rows or in the columns, each group emitting light of a different wavelength from the remaining groups.

A three-dimensional display apparatus is provided that is suitable for displaying information or instruction relating to the work that the viewer is doing. The three-dimensional display apparatus has a display data generation unit for generating a plurality of display data each expressing a screen at a depth from a viewpoint of a viewer in a three-dimensional space and a lens driving unit for varying the focal length of the variable focal length lenses according to the depth of the display data generated by the display data generation unit. The display data generation unit generates the display data each expressing a different depth and causing a plurality of virtual images of the light emitting points appropriate to the depth to be perceived as being overlapped. The lens driving unit controls the focal length of the variable focal length lenses according to the depth of the display data generated by the display data generation unit in synchronization with displaying the display data on the display unit by the display driving unit.

An optical scanning projector apparatus includes a light emitting element array having a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a row in a first direction for emitting light according to display data; a light scanning unit for scanning light of the light emitting elements in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; a scanning optical system for collecting light of the light emitting elements to form an image on a screen; and a control unit for controlling the light scanning unit and the scanning optical system. An electrophotographic image forming apparatus fuses an image to a recording medium by heat and pressure. To ensure that the recording medium does not stick to the fusing roller, a non-printable margin is normally reserved at the leading edge of the recording medium. When the recording medium has sufficient stiffness, however, as determined from its thickness and other factors such as its width or orientation, marginless printing is permitted. A toner is used in an image-forming apparatus that incorporates a toner-collecting member. The toner-collecting member collects residual toner on a surface of an image-bearing body. The toner includes a spherical toner having at least a binder resin, and an irregularly-shaped particles mixed with the spherical toner. The irregularly shaped particle has an average diameter in the range of 1&#x2013;50 &#x3bc;m. The average diameter is 14 to 10% of the diameter of a spot printed by the image-forming apparatus. The irregularly shaped particle is a toner having the same color as the spherical toner. The irregularly shaped particle is a colorless toner. The irregularly shaped particle is charged opposite in polarity to the spherical toner. The irregularly has a roundness of 0.85 or less.
