A rolling bearing assembly equipped with an electric power generator, having: inner and outer members rotatable relative to each other through rolling elements; an electric power generator including a multi-pole magnet assembly mounted on one of the inner and outer members and having a plurality of alternating magnetic poles arranged in a circumferential direction, and a magnetic ring assembly mounted on the remaining one of the inner and outer members and accommodating a coil and confronting the multi-pole magnet assembly; the magnetic ring assembly including a stepped portion of a generally U-shaped section having a peripheral surface portion and an end face portion, said stepped portion being defined on an outer periphery or an inner periphery of one end of the magnetic ring assembly, the magnetic ring assembly being mounted on the remaining one of the inner and outer members with the peripheral surface portion of the stepped portion press-fitted directly onto a peripheral surface of the remaining one of the inner and outer members within a bearing space.

Rotation detecting device and wheel support bearing assembly utilizing the same

A power transmission shaft having an improved strength and ensuring a stable torsion fatigue strength. The power transmission shaft has coupling members respectively provided on the opposite ends of an pipe part made of a steel material. The steel material includes 0.30-0.45% by weight of C, 0.05-0.35% by weight of Si, 1.0-2.0% by weight of Mn, 0.05% by weight or less of Al, 0.01% by weight or less of S, and the remainder (iron Fe and unavoidable impurities). The pipe part has an electro-unite portion that extends in the axial direction. The electro-unite portion and neighborhood thereof are hardened so as to have a Rockwell hardness HRC of 45 or more. Also, another power transmission shaft has coupling members integrally formed on opposite ends thereof. In addition, the shaft is formed from a steel element tube by a plastic working. Power transmission shaft

To provide a rotation detecting device with a function of transmitting a rotational speed detection signal wireless and enable the rotation detecting device to be assembled compact in size without requiring any anti-rusting treatment to a multi-pole magnet assembly and a magnetic ring assembly, the rotation detecting device includes an electric power generator () for generating an electric power by a relative rotation between a non-rotatable member () and a rotatable member (). A constant velocity universal joint has an outer joint member having eight curved track grooves axially extending along an inner circumferential surface, an inner joint member having eight curved track grooves axially extending along an outer circumferential surface, eight balls respectively arranged in eight ball tracks provided as pairs of the track grooves of the outer and inner joint members. The center of each track groove of the outer joint member is axially displaced a predetermined distance from the spherical center of the inner circumferential surface. The center of each track groove of the inner joint member is axially displaced the same distance from the spherical center of the outer circumferential surface in the direction opposite to that of the outer joint member. A spherical inner surface of the outer race and track grooves in the outer race are each defined by a post-hardening cut surface. A spherical outer surface of the inner race and track grooves in the inner race are also each defined by a post-hardening cut surface. A retainer has a spherical outer surface, a spherical inner surface and inner surfaces of the pockets, all of which are defined by a post-hardening cut surface. Respective surfaces of the retainer, the outer race and the inner race which contact with each other are formed with a surface treatment layer for reducing a frictional resistance.

Power transmission mechanism

A homokinetic joint which can be manufactured at low cost. Its outer ring and inner ring has a spherical inner surface and a spherical outer surface both formed with a plurality of track grooves in which are received torque transfer balls retained by a cage. The spherical inner surface and the track grooves of the outer ring are finished by plastic working, so that no additional finishing work is necessary. Thus, the outer ring can be manufactured at low cost.
