To provide a bottom for a bed apparatus that can relieve the sensation of being pressed and that at the same time is lightweight, easy to transport and can be cleaned easily. A bottom for a bed apparatus having a back-raising mechanism, includes a flexing bottom that is arranged between a back bottom and a hip bottom and can be flexed. In a back-raising operation, the flexing bottom flexes between the back bottom and the hip bottom while sliding downward over the surface of the uprising back bottom.

Bottom for bed apparatus

To provide a bottom for a bed apparatus that can make the user feel comfortable when lying on the bed apparatus. The bottom for a bed apparatus, which is height adjustable and is mounted on the top of a bed apparatus, comprising a plurality of parts each formed of a resin plate having a thickness, including a back bottom, a hip bottom, a knee bottom and a foot bottom. Of the parts, essential parts are joined by connecting parts, and the connecting parts are formed of the same material with, to be thinner than, and integrally with, the essential parts, and, depressed portions are formed on the top surface of the bottom around the center in the width direction of the bottom, and a plurality of passage holes are perforated in the depressed portions from the top surface to the undersurface of the bottom.

An air mattress with an internal pump, includes a plurality of air cell groups lined up in a lengthwise direction of the air mattress, each of which groups is made from a plurality of bladder-shaped cells, all of the bladder-shaped cells of said air cell groups being rod-shaped cells extending in a widthwise direction of the air mattress, and being lined up in the lengthwise direction of the air mattress, an air supply/release pump, an air tube linking said air cell groups and said air supply/release pump in a system for each air cell group of two or more air cell groups out of said air cell groups, a connector for connecting said air supply/release pump and said air tube detachably, and a controller for controlling the pressure within the bladder-shaped cells for each of the air cell groups among the air cell groups.

Air mattress with internal pump

An air mattress with an internal pump has a plurality of air cell groups lined up in the lengthwise direction of the air mattress. Each of air cell groups has a plurality of bladder-shaped cells lined up in the lengthwise direction of the air mattress. The air mattress has an air supply/release pump; and an air tube linking the air cell groups and the air supply/release pump in an independent system for each air cell group out of two or more air cell groups. All of the bladder-shaped cells are rod shapes extending in the widthwise direction of the air mattress, and the length of the air cell groups corresponding to the leg area of a reclining person is up to 30% less than that of the other bladder-shaped cells, leaving a space between there and the edge of the air mattress in which the air supply/release pump is disposed.

A support mechanism in which one end of a knee bottom section () is supported on a bed frame () in such a manner that the knee bottom section can be pivotally raised and lowered. Also, one end of a leg bottom section () is pivotally rotatably connected with the other end of the knee bottom section, a support stay () is pivotally rotatably connected with the underside of the other end of the leg bottom section, and a support device () of a support portion () provided at the opposite tip of the support stay is provided on the bed frame. The support device includes a guide portion () and an engaging portion () for movably supporting the support portion of the support stay. The guide portion can support the support portion moved in relation with the pivotal rotation of the knee bottom section within the entire pivotal rotation range of the knee bottom section. The engaging portion is provided above or below a vacant portion adjacent to the end portion of the guide portion on which the support portion is located when the knee bottom section is pivotally lowered.

Support mechanism for the leg bottom section of a bed

An X-linked lift mechanism having first links () and second links () constituting an X-linked mechanism between a base frame () and a lift frame (). A drive member () is pivotally rotatably installed between the other lateral side portions of the second links and is connected with boost arms () and a drive arm (). Guide members () are provided for guiding the moving members () installed at the ends of the boost arms. The guide members are installed on the other lateral side portions of the first links in the length direction. Also, a linear actuator is provided so as to extend between the other lateral side of the first links and the drive arm.

X-linked lift mechanism

It is the object of the present invention to present a bottom structure which allows a bed bottom to be bent at desired curvatures. This is achieved using a bendable bottom component 6 located between the back and waist portions and/or waist and leg portions of a bed bottom 2 which is comprised of parallel rigid strips 7 and flexible strips 8 located between the respectively adjacent rigid strips 7. The flexible strips 8 are formed as bendable sheets 9 connecting the respectively adjacent rigid strips 7 on the side to form the inside curve of the bottom. Guard rails 10 are provided longitudinally to cover both the ends, in the width direction of the bed, of the bendable bottom component 6. End contacts 11 of the guard rails 10 are engaged with the rigid strips 7, and have end caps 12 attached. The end contacts 11 are adjustable and connected with each other by connecting rods 15. The end caps 12 are formed to be thinner at the overlapped portions than the other portions. The result is that the ends of the bendable bottom component in the width direction of the bed can be always covered with guard rails, to keep fingers and things away from being caught by any mistake. Moreover, since the bendable bottom component can be bent to draw a controlled curve no displeasing feeling of pressure is given to the patient when the bed bottom is bent.
