Brake operating system for use in electrically driven vehicles having an electric brake and a pneumatic brake. Both the electric and pneumatic brakes are respectively operated by their respective operating apparatus different from and independent of each other when a brake pedal is depressed. The operating apparatus of the electric brake comprises a rheostat and a mechanism for mechanically operating the rheostat by depression of the brake pedal, while that of the pneumatic brake comprises a compressed air, pneumatic circuit divided into two lines independent of each other so as to respectively introduce the compressed air into two pairs of power clusters which are respectively connected to respective brakes for front and rear wheels, and a pair of brake valves respectively provided in the pneumatic circuit lines and simultaneously operated by depression of the brake pedal.

Brake operating system for use in electrically driven vehicles

A brake drum arrangement for use in a braking system wherein a wheel brake is disposed outside a tire, comprises a brake drum having inner end face thereof fixedly secured to the outer end face of a wheel hub, the outer peripheral surface of the brake drum being flush with that of the wheel hub, an annular rim stopper adapted to be mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the brake drum, and a plurality of wheel clamps adapted to be fixedly secured to the outer side face of the brake drum for retaining the rim stopper. The arrangement further comprises a plurality of spacers, each being disposed between the brake drum and each wheel clamp.

Tire rim and brake drum arrangement

A stopper device for a vessel of a dump truck comprises a wire rope connected to the rear end portion of the vessel and having a ring formed at the free end thereof. A retaining member projects from a rear axle tube and is adapted to be engageable with and disengageable from the ring, whereby the weight of the stopper is significantly reduced and the vessel can be easily held at a rearwardly tilted position when required.
