In the motor with the worm reduction gear, wherein a worm is provided at an end portion of a rotary shaft, a worm wheel is in meshing engagement with the worm and rotation of the rotary shaft is reduced in speed and transmitted to load, such an arrangement is adopted that a first damper and a second damper, which are different in elasticity from each other, are provided at end portions in the axial direction of the rotary shaft, and, at an initial stage where the thrust force from the rotary shaft is low, only the elastic force of the first damper lower in elasticity acts on the rotary shaft and, at a stage where the thrust force becomes high, both the elastic forces of the first damper and the second damper act on the rotary shaft.

Motor with worm reduction gear

The wiper driving apparatus includes a driving gear driven by an electric motor for driving a wiper, a clutch member rotatable together with the driving gear in a predetermined driving direction of the driving gear, first and second electrically-conductive plates and first and second moving-contact segments which are rotated relative to the first and second electrically-conductive plates respectively while brought into a slidable contact therewith, respectively, to constitute a switch for opening and closing an electric circuit of the motor. A driven engaging projection of the clutch member extends towards the driving gear, and is disposed in a position differing in phase from a contact position by an angle of at least 90 degrees, preferaly by an angle of 180 degrees, in which contact position a contact point of the second moving-contact segment is brought into electrical contact with the second electrically-conductive plate.

Wiper driving apparatus

A wiper driving unit for driving a wiper for a vehicle such as a motor vehicle includes: a driving gear driven by a motor, for driving the wiper; and a clutch member formed of a conductive resilient plate, rotatably supported and rotatable together with the driving gear in the biasing direction only when the driving gear is rotated in the biasing direction. An engageable member on the driving side is projectingly provided on the driving gear, and an engageable member on the driven side is connected in operational association to the clutch member. The engageable member on the driving side and the engageable member on the driven side are engaged with each other to rotate the driving gear together with the clutch member in the same direction only when the driving member is rotated in the biasing direction. However, when an external force to rotate the driving gear in the reverse direction is applied, the both engageable members are disengaged from each other, and the clutch member does not follow the rotation of the driving gear in the reverse direction, whereby chattering is prevented which is caused by a relative backwardly moving phenomenon between the conductor plates connected to an electric circuit of the motor and a plurality of contacts provided on the clutch member.
