A spacer is inserted into a space between an existing pipe and a rehabilitating pipe to adjust a position of the rehabilitating pipe with respect to the existing pipe. The spacer has an elongated shape with both end portions in a longitudinal direction thereof cut off at an oblique angle and has a transverse width increasing gradually from an upper surface portion to a bottom surface portion. A space is formed in the bottom surface portion to correspond to a shape of the upper surface portion, thereby allowing a number of the spacers to be stacked on one another in a thickness direction thereof. The upper surface portion has a flat-plate shape with a flat rectangular surface region.

Spacer for positioning a rehabilitating pipe

A rehabilitating pipe segment for assembling a rehabilitating pipe inside an existing pipe. The rehabilitating pipe segment has first and second segment halves connectable together to provide for the rehabilitating pipe segment an internal surface plate and side and end plates surrounding peripheral edges of the internal surface plate. The first and second segment halves are configured to move relative to one another in a width direction of the rehabilitating pipe segment corresponding to a pipe length direction of the rehabilitating pipe so that the first and second pipe segment halves expand and contract to make the width of the rehabilitating pipe segment variable in the width direction of the rehabilitating pipe segment.

Rehabilitating pipe segment and existing pipe rehabilitation method using same

A linking tool links segments for a rehabilitating pipe for rehabilitating an existing pipeline. The segment is integrally formed at least from an internal surface plate that constitutes the inner circumferential surface of the rehabilitating pipe, and side plates that have an insertion hole formed thereon and are disposed on both sides of the internal surface plate so as to extend in the circumferential direction of the rehabilitating pipe. The linking tool includes a tubular linking pin that is separable into pin halves and can be inserted into the insertion hole in the side plate of a first segment with a part of the linking pin remaining outside the first segment. The linking tool further includes a separating pin that can be inserted into the linking pin to separate the linking pin into the pin halves and press them against the first segment for anchoring thereto. The pin halves remaining outside the first segment are snap-fitted into a second segment through the insertion hole of the side plate thereof, thereby linking the first and second segments in the longitudinal direction of the rehabilitating pipe. Such a linking tool allows the segments to be efficiently linked in a short period of time.

Method for linking segments and linking tool

Segments are linked in the circumferential and pipe length directions to assemble a rehabilitating pipe inside an existing pipe in order to rehabilitate the existing pipe. A plurality of nuts are secured to the segments along the circumferential direction thereof. A fastening member having a screw part is provided which is screwed into the nut to fasten a first segment to a second segment to which the nut is secured, thereby linking the first and second segments in the pipe length direction thereof. The position of the nut in the first segment is offset as viewed in the circumferential direction from the nut position of the second segment. The arrangement of the fastening members and the nuts is staggered as viewed in its entirety. This allows the connection strength of the segments in the pipe length direction to be made uniform.

Existing pipe rehabilitation method

To line an inner circumferential surface of side walls of a manhole, a rehabilitating sheet made of a sheet material resistant to water and corrosion is provided in the form of a bag having a shape corresponding to the inner circumferential surface to be lined. The rehabilitating sheet is inserted into the manhole to be lined. Block and plate frames are coupled inside the bag of the rehabilitating sheet to support it so as to have the shape corresponding to the inner circumferential surface to be lined. A gap between the rehabilitating sheet and the inner circumferential surface of the side walls of the manhole is filled with a filler, which is then hardened to line the side walls of the manhole. Pairs of plate frames having different diameters are coupled to each other to provide ring plates having different diameters. The ring plates are stacked one by one from the maximum one to support the rehabilitating sheet so as to have a shape of the inner circumferential surface of the inclined side wall portion of the manhole.

Method for rehabilitating a manhole

A pipe lining material is inserted into a pipeline and expanded to press against an inner peripheral surface of the pipeline. Hot water from a first fluid source is sprayed onto the pipe lining material via a hose to cure the thermosetting resin impregnated therein and thereby cure the pipe lining material, with the sprayed hot water being accumulated in a bottom part of the pipe lining material. The hot water accumulated in the bottom part of the pipe lining material is delivered to a second fluid source separate and independent from the first fluid source, cooled in the second fluid source to provide cooling water, and supplied to the hose. The cooling water is sprayed onto the cured pipe lining material via the hose to cool the cured pipe lining material.

Pipeline lining method

A segment is coupled to additional segments to constitute a rehabilitating pipe for repairing an existing pipe. The segment comprises an inner plate that defines the inner circumferential surface of the rehabilitating pipe and has an opening therein for performing the work of mutually coupling the segments in the circumferential direction of the rehabilitating pipe, and a cover that is fitted into the opening from the bottom surface side of the inner plate. To fix the cover to the inner plate, the cover is provided with a projection and with an engaging member that is movable between non-engaging and engaging positions. The cover is fitted into the opening with the projection into engagement with the inner plate on one side edge of the opening and the engaging member is then brought into engagement with the inner plate on the other side edge thereof, thereby fixing the cover to the inner plate to plug the opening thereof.
