An axial gap coreless motor includes a stator including a stator yoke having a surface and being composed of a plurality of laminated layers of silicon steel sheets secured together, a wiring substrate having a surface and being disposed on the stator yoke surface, and a plurality of coreless coils annularly disposed on the wiring substrate surface; and a rotor including a rotor magnet having a plurality of circumferentially arranged magnetic poles, wherein the rotor is rotated relative to the stator such that the rotor magnet axially confronts the coreless coil over an air gap.

A fluid pump includes a case including a pump chamber, a reserve tank for storing spare liquid and located in the case but outside the pump chamber and formed so that a space independent of the pump chamber is defined by the reserve tank, a fluid path forming member arranged inside the reserve tank and including a discharge path communicating between a discharge port and the pump chamber, and a communication hole which is formed in a side of the fluid path forming member so as to assume such a position that the communication hole faces an inside of the reserve tank so that the hole communicates between the discharge path and the inside of the reserve tank, the communication hole being sized so that air in the pump chamber is allowed to flow through the hole into the reserve tank.

A cooling fluid pump includes a casing having a cylindrical pump chamber inside and an outer surface, the pump chamber having an inner surface, an impeller mounted rotatably inside the pump chamber and having a number of pump vanes, the impeller further having an axial end, a fluid path defined around the impeller in the pump chamber so that a fluid flows through the fluid path upon rotation of the impeller, a discharge port formed in the casing for discharging the fluid inside the fluid path and a suction port formed in the casing for suctioning the fluid into the fluid path upon rotation of the impeller, a protrusion formed on a portion of the inner surface of the pump chamber opposed to the axial end of the impeller, thereby separating the fluid discharged from the discharge port and the fluid suctioned from the suction port as well as pressuring the fluid flowing in the fluid path, and a heat receiving portion formed on a part of the outer surface of the casing overlapping the protrusion.

A cooling fluid pump in which a cooling fluid is caused to flow to cool a heating element includes a casing brought into a direct contact or an indirect contact via a heat transfer member with the heating element, a pump chamber defined in the casing, an impeller rotatably mounted in the pump chamber and including a pump groove formed in either one of both axial end faces, the impeller having an axis of rotation located radially away from a center of the casing, an inlet formed in the casing so that the cooling fluid is supplied through the inlet into the pump chamber by an action of the pump groove with rotation of the impeller, and an outlet formed in the casing so that the cooling fluid is discharged through the outlet out of the pump chamber by an action of the pump groove with rotation of the impeller.
