A vehicle includes an accelerator sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, and a gradient sensor. A controller for the vehicle is configured to execute a calculating process that calculates a traveling driving force required to move the vehicle forward based on a vehicle speed and an operation amount of an accelerator pedal, and a cruise control process that controls the vehicle speed such that the vehicle speed becomes a constant target vehicle speed. The controller is configured to execute the cruise control process on condition that a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the vehicle speed within a specified time period is less than or equal to a specified value, and a sum of a traveling resistance calculated based on the vehicle speed and a gradient resistance calculated based on the gradient of the road surface is greater than or equal to the traveling driving force.

Controller and control method for cruise control process of vehicle

A control device for a vehicle that includes a switching device for switching a power transmission device between a parking state and a non-parking state. The control device includes: (a) an opening/closing determination portion for determining whether a vehicle door is open or closed; (b) a switching control portion for executing an automatic parking control for switching the power transmission device to the parking state, in a case in which it is determined that the door is open, when a vehicle running speed is not higher than a predetermined speed, with the power transmission device being in the non-parking state, and (c) a reverse-parking determination portion for determining whether or not a vehicle driver is performing a reverse parking. The switching control portion does not execute the automatic parking control, in a case in which it is determined that the driver is performing the reverse parking.

An air pressure abnormality determination system determines whether an air pressure abnormality in which an air pressure of at least one of multiple front tires and multiple rear tires drops. The front tires are front wheels of a vehicle. The rear tires are rear wheels of the vehicle and of which outer diameter is different from an outer diameter of the front tires. A determination is made on whether the air pressure abnormality occurs using a corrected wheel speed obtained by correcting one of a front wheel speed that is a wheel speed of the front wheels and a rear wheel speed that is a wheel speed of the rear wheels based on the outer diameter of the front tires and the outer diameter of the rear tires and an uncorrected wheel speed that is the other of the front wheel speed and the rear wheel speed that is uncorrected.
