A storage control program for causing a computer to perform a process comprising; determining a second number indicating a number of first storage devices in each of which a connection with a controller is established among the two or more first storage devices; and performing control such that a second storage devices, in each of which a connection with the controller is not established among the two or more first storage devices, are caused to transition to a power saving state in a time period in which the second number reaches a first number indicating a number of communication routes used when the controller accesses the two or more first storage devices.

A relay apparatus includes first and second board modules and a bridge module. The first board module is configured to relay the communications among the plurality of electronic devices, the plurality of electronic devices being connected to the first board module. The second board module is configured to relay the communications among the plurality of electronic devices, the plurality of electronic devices being connected to the second board module. The bridge module is configured to communicatively connect the first board module and the second board module.

Relay apparatus

A relaying apparatus placed between a control apparatus and a storage device in a storage apparatus includes a first connection unit, a second connection unit and a processor. The first connection unit is connected to a storage device. A detecting unit detects a link-down of the first connection unit. The processor executes a process in which, the address of the storage device that was connected to the first connection unit when the link-down has occurred to the first connection unit matches the address of the storage device connected to the second connection unit when the link-up has occurred to the second connection unit, and an access request is given from the control apparatus with an attached first identifier that identifies the first connection unit, data is forwarded via the second connection unit.

A transmission unit connected to a reception unit via a communication cable. A communication control apparatus in a RAID device including redundant communication paths to storage devices includes a blocking unit. The blocking unit blocks configuration change notifications outputted from the storage devices to a control apparatus, which controls access to the storage devices, when a power of a communication relay device arranged on the redundant paths connecting the storage devices and the control apparatus is turned off.
