An object of the present invention is to provide a multilayer container in which yellowing of a regenerated polyester resin at the time of recycle is suppressed and a method for producing the same as well as a method for producing a single-layer container. Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a regenerated polyester resin from the foregoing multilayer container and single-layer container. The multilayer container of the present invention includes at least one polyester resin composition layer containing a polyester resin (X) and an amino group-containing compound (A) having a yellowing-suppressing ability; and at least one polyamide resin layer containing a polyamide resin (Y).

A method of providing an oxygen barrier for a product includes placing a product in an injection molded article which includes 10 to 60% by mass of a polyamide resin (A) and 40 to 90% by mass of a mixed polyolefin (E), wherein the polyamide resin (A) includes a diamine unit 70 mol % or more of which is one or more m-xylylenediamine units and a dicarboxylic acid unit 70 mol % or more of which is one or more dicarboxylic acid units including a Cto C&#x3b1;,&#x3c9;-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and isophthalic acid at a molar ratio of from 30:70 to 100:0, the mixed polyolefin (E) includes 40 to 100% by mass of a polyolefin (C) and 0 to 60% by mass of a modified polyolefin (B), and at least a portion of the polyamide resin (A) is dispersed in a layered state.

Injection molded body having excellent barrier property

There is provided a multilayer bottle including outermost and innermost layers each made mainly of a polyester (A) and at least one barrier layer interposed between the outermost and innermost layers. The polyester (A) is a thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerizing a dicarboxylic acid component containing 80 mol % or more of terephthalic acid with a diol component containing 80 mol % or more of ethylene glycol. The barrier layer is composed of a polyamide (B) and a polyamide (C). The polyamide (B) is obtained by polycondensing a diamine component containing 70 mol % or more of m-xylylenediamine with a dicarboxylic acid component containing 70 mol % or more of an &#x3b1;,&#x3c9;-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 4 to 20 carbon atoms. The polyamide (C) has a higher saturation water content than that of the polyamide (B) as measured at 23&#xb0; C. and 50% RH under 1 atm, and a content of the polyamide (C) in the barrier layer is 20% by weight or less on the basis of a weight of the barrier layer. The multilayer bottle hardly suffers from delamination upon dropping or upon exposure to impact and, therefore, is not required to have a shape with less irregularities or less bends for preventing the delamination, and further has a large freedom of design choice.

Provided are a resin composition which is colored little and has excellent gas barrier properties, transparency and mechanical properties, a method for producing it, and a shaped article. The composition is a polyester resin composition comprising from 2 to 30% by weight of a specific polyamide resin (A), from 69.5 to 97.99% by weight of a specific polyester resin (B) and from 0.01 to 0.5% by weight of a di- and/or tri-polycarboxylic acid compound (c), which satisfies a&#x2266;b, 60 &#x2266;a+b&#x2266;150, 1&#x2266;c&#xd7;Cc&#x2266;20, 1&#x2266;c&#xd7;Cc/(a&#xd7;Ca)&#x2266;12 (wherein a is a concentration of the terminal amino group of the polyamide resin (A), b is a concentration of the terminal carboxyl group of the polyamide resin (A), c is a concentration of the carboxyl group in the polycarboxylic acid compound (C), Cc is a concentration of the polycarboxylic acid compound (C) in the polyester resin composition, and Ca is a concentration of the polyamide resin (A) in the polyester resin composition (g/g). The method is for producing the resin composition; and the shaped article is obtained by shaping the resin composition.

Polyester resin composition, method for producing same and molded body

There is provided a method for filling a multilayer bottle including outermost and innermost layers and at least one barrier layer interposed between the outermost and innermost layers, with a material to be stored therein. In the filling method, the material to be stored is filled in the multilayer bottle having the barrier layer satisfying a specific glass transition point (Tg) and a specific water content as measured by a Carl-Fisher method at 230&#xb0; C. for 30 min. The multilayer bottle obtained by the filling method of the present invention hardly undergoes delamination between the layers owing to dropping or impact, and is applicable to a filling method such as hot filling.

The multilayer container of the present invention comprises an outermost layer, an innermost layer and at least one intermediate layer interposed between the outermost layer and the innermost layer. Each of the outermost and innermost layers is mainly made of a thermoplastic polyester resin A produced by polymerizing a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 80 mol % or higher of terephthalic acid with a diol component comprising 80 mol % or higher of ethylene glycol. At least one of the intermediate layers is mainly made of a mixed resin B of a polyamide resin C and a polyamide resin D in a mixing ratio of 99.5/0.5 to 80/20 by weight. The polyamide resin C is produced by polymerizing a diamine component comprising 70 mol % or higher of m-xylylenediamine with a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 70 mol % or higher of adipic acid. The polyamide resin D has a solubility index satisfying the formula (1):Sa&#x3c;Sd&#x3c;Sc&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein each of Sa, Sb and Sd is a solubility index, calculated by Small method, of the thermoplastic polyester resin A, the polyamide resin C and the polyamide resin D. The polyamide resin D has a glass transition temperature of 130&#xb0; C. or lower which is higher than that of the polyamide resin C. The multilayer container is excellent in gas-barrier property and resistant to delamination even when its shape includes indented and bending portions, allowing a broad design latitude.

An injection molding apparatus for injection molding a multi-layered article, which comprises; (a) a mold having a cavity block provided with a cavity and a hot runner block, (b) at least a first injection cylinder and a second injection cylinder, (c) a first resin-flow-passage for connecting an inside of the first injection cylinder and the cavity, and (d) a second resin-flow-passage for connecting an inside of the second injection cylinder and the cavity, the injection molding apparatus having a structure in which those portions of the first and second resin-flow-passages which are located within the mold are provided in the hot runner block, and the first resin-flow-passage and the second resin-flow-passage meet with each other in a junction portion upstream to a gate portion opened to the cavity, the injection molding apparatus being provided with back flow means for letting first molten resin in the first resin-flow-passage flow into the second resin-flow-passage after second molten resin is injected into the cavity through the second resin-flow-passage, the back flow means being operable with a pressure which the first molten resin in the first resin-flow-passage exerts on second molten resin in the second resin-flow-passage.

A multi-layered article having a first portion constituted of laminated three resin layers and a second portion extending from the first portion, the first portion being constituted mainly of consecutively laminated resin layers composed of a first resin layer formed of a first resin, a second resin layer formed mainly of a second resin and a third resin layer formed of the first resin, the second portion being constituted of resin layers extending from the first resin layer and the third resin layer which constitute the first portion, the first resin layer constituting the outer surface layer of the multi-layered article, the third resin layer constituting the inner surface layer of the multi-layered article which inner surface layer is opposed to said outer surface layer, the second resin layer being encapsulated with the first resin layer and the third resin layer, the second resin layer having a thickness which decreases towards the second portion, and being discontinued, in a region of the first portion in the vicinity of the second portion.

Multi-layered article

An injection molding apparatus for injection molding a multi-layered article is disclosed. The apparatus comprises; (a) a mold having a cavity block provided with a cavity and a hot runner block, (b) at least a first injection cylinder and a second injection cylinder, (c) a first resin-flow-passage for connecting an inside of the first injection cylinder and the cavity, and (d) a second resin-flow-passage for connecting an inside of the second injection cylinder and the cavity. The injection molding apparatus has a structure in which those portions of the first and second resin-flow-passages which are located within the mold are provided in the hot runner block, and the first resin-flow-passage and the second resin-flow-passage meet with each other in a junction portion upstream to a gate portion opened to the cavity. The injection molding apparatus is provided with a back flow device for letting first molten resin in the first resin-flow-passage flow into the second resin-flow-passage after second molten resin is injected into the cavity through the second resin-flow-passage. The back flow device is operable in response to pressure which the first molten resin in the first resin-flow-passage exerts on second molten resin in the second resin-flow-passage.

Injection molding apparatus for molding multi-layered articles

A polyamide resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin and 0.005 to 1.0 part by weight of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a metal salt of a fatty acid, a diamide compound and a diester compound. The polyamide resin is obtained by solid phase-polymerizing a polyamide resin prepared by melt-polymerizing a diamine component containing 70 mol % or more of metaxylylenediamine and a dicarboxylic acid component containing 70 mol % or more of adipic acid, and preferably has a relative viscosity of 2.3 to 4.2 when measured at 25.degree. C. using a solution of 1 g polyamide resin in 100 ml of 96% sulfuric acid. By adding at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the specific metal salt of fatty acid, the diamide compound and the diester compound to a solid phase-polymerized polyamide resin, shaped articles such as films, sheets and hollow containers made of the solid phase-polymerized polyamide are improved in the resistance to whitening during storage tinder a high humid condition, upon contacting with water or boiling water, or upon heating to a glass transition temperature or higher.
