A measuring instrument that reads a measure including a plurality of reading patterns arranged in a length direction of the measure, each reading pattern including a plurality of patterns arranged in a width direction of the measure, includes: a flattening member that increases a flatness of the measure; and a first reader that optically reads the plurality of patterns arranged in the width direction included in a single reading pattern from the measure in a state where the flatness is increased by the flattening member.

A push button-type switch device includes a pair of fixed contacts, an operable member to be pushed, an actuating member elastically deformable upon the operable member being pushed, a movable contact which short-circuits the pair of fixed contacts due to elastic deformation of the actuating member, and a limiting part arranged to limit a direction in which the operable member moves and making the operable member move in a fixed orientation. The limiting part includes a pair of link members that engage with each other, one ends of the link members rotatably supported by the base portion, and the other ends thereof slidably supported by the operable member. This produces a good click irrespective of a position where the operable member is operated.

Push button-type switch device

A movable console device having a rack-mount configuration. The movable console device is provided with a console section including a keyboard and a display, a mount section for mounting the console section onto a rack structure in a manner movable between a retracted position and a drawn-out position, and a drive section for automatically moving the console section with respect to the rack structure between the retracted and drawn-out positions. The console section includes a display support mechanism for supporting the display in a manner displaceable between a non-operating position and an operating position, and a second drive section is provided for automatically displacing the display between the non-operating and operating positions.

Movable console device

A sensor unit includes a support body having a concave surface, a spherical body formed of a magnetic material and placed on the concave surface of the support body so as to roll freely thereon, a permanent magnet producing a magnetic field affecting the magnetic spherical body, and a magnetic sensor detecting a change in the magnetic field caused by the movement of said magnetic spherical body. The magnetic spherical body and the permanent magnet are provided to oppose each other with a given distance therebetween in a vertical direction. The magnetic sensor is provided between the magnetic spherical body and the permanent magnet. An output is produced in accordance with the detection by the magnetic sensor.

Downsized sensor unit with increased accuracy

An input device includes a case, circuit boards, and a support member. The case includes a rib formed therein to extend in a given direction. The circuit boards each include an input part, and are temporarily fastened to the case via the rib in process of assembling the input device. After the circuit boards are temporarily fastened to the case, the support member is fixed to the case so as to support the circuit boards between the support member and the case.

An input device for inputting information corresponding to a direction of inclination and an angle of inclination of a movable part into devices such as a computer. The input device includes a substantially spherical part provided at a lower end of said movable part; bearing means which rotatably supports said substantially spherical part of said movable part; a recovery means which rotates said substantially spherical part within said bearing means so as to recover the upright position of the movable part; and inclination detecting means which detects a direction of inclination and an angle of inclination of said movable part.
