There is provided a plunger seal () for a fuel injection pump for a direct-injection gasoline engine, in which, even if a resin material is used for a fuel seal member (), the plunger seal can be made compact, sealing ability is increased, and assembling man-hours can be reduced, and in which set sealing performance can be achieved when a U-shaped elastic member () for applying an energizing force in a diametrical direction is used in a groove () formed in the fuel seal member (). The resin fuel seal member () and an oil seal member () are assembled to form one seal system. Further, when the U-shaped elastic member () is installed in the groove (), an axial position (L) of an end surface () at the side opposite to the sealed object of a fixing collar () formed on an inner peripheral surface of the groove () is positioned at the side (B) opposite to the sealed object than the axial position (L) of a leading end portion () of a seal lip () of the fuel seal member ().

An electroconductive resin composition, which comprises a thermosetting resin as a matrix and 40 to 90% by weight, on the basis of the composition, of carbon fibers and graphite as fillers, has a high electroconductivity and is suitable for use as a molding material for fuel cell separators. By using a molding material comprising phenol resin as a matrix and at least one kind of carbon fibers and graphite being coated by an electroconductive metal and molding fuel cell separators from the molding material, followed by post-curing at 130 to 300&#xb0; C., fuel cell separators with a stable power generation capacity can be obtained.

Electrically conductive resin composition

A resin composition which comprises 50-97% by weight of thermoplastic resin with a melting or softening point of about 330.degree. C. or below and 3-50% by weight of cured phenolic resin, in the form of powder, with an average particle diameter of about 500 .mu.m or below. This resin composition is moldable into a sliding member having excellent mechanical properties in an aqueous environment and provides economical merit.

A molding compound which comprises phenol resin or polyphenylenesulfide resin, chopped strands of glass fibers and powdery glass fibers having a length of about 10 to about 200 .mu.m is used suitably for molding a resin stator having an insert molded or post-inserted metallic outer race.

The present invention provides an oil-containing resin having a flowability of not more than 45.degree. in terms of an angle of repose, which comprises a porous styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and a liquid oil adsorbed on the copolymer, an oil-containing resin mixture in a paste form of the oil-containing resin and a liquid oil, and a composition of the oil-containing resin mixture in a paste form and a thermoplastic resin. Owing to a good flowability, the oil-containing resin has a good moldability, and also owing to a high oil content, a molding having distinguished sliding characteristics is obtained from the composition of the oil-containing resin mixture in a paste form and a thermoplastic resin.
