The disclosure provides a supercharging pressure control device for an internal combustion engine that may suppress misfires of the internal combustion engine caused by a large amount of condensed water and freezing of an intercooler and suppress the decrease in supercharging response under the conditions that such problems are unlikely to occur. The supercharging pressure control device for the internal combustion engine includes a supercharger (turbocharger), an intercooler, a supercharging pressure control part controlling a supercharging pressure based on a target supercharging pressure, and an intake air temperature acquisition part (intake air temperature sensor) acquiring a temperature of the intake air as an intake air temperature, and executes a supercharging pressure reduction control when the intake air temperature is greater than or equal to a specified first threshold temperature or less than or equal to a specified second threshold temperature less than the first threshold temperature.

Supercharging pressure control device for internal combustion engine

An engine peripheral structure includes an engine body mounted in an engine room, an intake system connected to the engine body, and a supercharger provided in the middle of the intake system. The intake system includes a low-pressure intake passage connected upstream in an intake direction of the supercharger, and a high-pressure intake passage connected downstream in the intake direction of the supercharger. The intake system has the high-pressure intake passage turned back at the supercharger with respect to the low-pressure intake passage, and has the low-pressure intake passage and the high-pressure intake passage extended on a left side surface of the engine body so as to be at least partly overlapped with each other in the up-down direction V.

Engine peripheral structure

A valve arrangement included in an engine peripheral structure provided with an intake system in an engine room, includes: a low-pressure intake passage of the intake system, arranged around an engine main body mounted in the engine room and connected to a passage upstream of a supercharger of the intake system in an intake direction; a high-pressure intake passage of the intake system, connected to a passage downstream of the supercharger in the intake direction; and an air bypass valve connected between the low-pressure intake passage and the high-pressure intake passage. The air bypass valve is fixed on a part of the low-pressure intake passage facing the engine main body.

Valve arrangement

A sensor arrangement of an internal combustion engine includes an intake duct including one or more curved parts bent or curved and connecting an intercooler and a throttle; and a pressure sensor provided on the intake duct and configured to detect a pressure in the intake duct. The pressure sensor includes a detector disposed close to an outside curved portion of a curved part.
