A racquet string comprises of a core surrounded by at least one sheath, having a plurality of sheath fibers wound around said core, and a coating resin uniting the core and sheath fibers into a unitary body. The sheath fibers are helically wound about the core at a high wind angle, i.e., at a wind angle between 25 and 40 degrees relative to the core axis. Preferably, the sheath comprises a plurality of main sheath fibers and a plurality of non-main sheath fibers, and the core, the main sheath fibers, and the coating resin are transparent. Preferably, the non-main sheath fibers have a relatively low transparency. In this manner, the non-main fibers produce a multi-helix appearance when the string is observed from the side.

Racquet string

A racket string consists of lengthwise sections having different tensile elastic moduli with at least one section of the string having a tensile elastic modulus higher than other sections. A stringed racket includes at least one string constituting the central stringed area of the racket with higher tensile elastic modulus, and a peripheral stringed area with sections of the string having lower tensile elastic modulus. Another stringed racket includes at least one string constituting the central stringed area of the racket with lower tensile elastic modulus and a peripheral stringed area with sections of the string having higher tensile elastic modulus.

Racket string and stringed rackets using the same

A method and an apparatus for processing textile are disclosed. The method and apparatus particularly relate to raising or shearing textile by bringing it into contact with an abrasive surface by a flowing liquid. By such a technique, raising or shearing can be more uniform; dyeing or finishing can be combined simultaneously with raising or shearing and higher productivity can be achieved.

A method of treating a synthetic fiber-containing knitted or woven fabric, wherein a synthetic fiber fabric or a blended fabric of synthetic and other fibers is treated with an aqueous mixture of a hydrophilic and thermally reactive urethane prepolymer with its terminal isocyanate groups blocked and (an) organopolysiloxane. This treatment is good for imparting to thermoplastic synthetic fiber goods a durable effect to prevent melting by sliding friction, and, when applied to the treatment of sportswear, it is useful for protecting players from troubles resulting from melting of clothing by friction caused by sliding attempts.
