An impact absorbing member is disposed between a roof panel and a top ceiling disposed below the roof panel. The impact absorbing member includes a base plate portion and a hollow, cone-shaped portion extending upward from the base plate portion. The cone-shaped portion has a fragile portion that facilitates vertical crush and deformation.

Vehicle interior structure

In an upper interior structure of a vehicle of the present invention, a deployment guide portion for guiding a curtain airbag toward a cabin side when the curtain airbag is deployed. The deployment guide portion comprises a first guide part and a second guide part. The first guide part is arranged above a top ceiling and on an outward side, in a vehicle width direction, of the curtain airbag, facing an upper end portion of a pillar trim, so as to restrain the curtain airbag from being deployed outwardly in the vehicle width direction. The second guide part is arranged between the first guide part and the top ceiling, extending in a vertical direction, so as to restrain the curtain airbag from being deployed into a gap between the first guide part and the upper end portion of the pillar trim.

Upper interior structure of vehicle

A seat structure for a vehicle of the present invention comprises a seat cushion frame, slide mechanisms including a pair of guide rails provided at a vehicle floor and a pair of sliders, a pair of connecting members connecting the pair of sliders and the seat cushion frame, a connection position of the connecting members and the seat cushion frame being located inward in a seat width direction relative to a connection position of the connecting members and the sliders, and a coupling member coupling the pair of connecting members in a vehicle width direction so as to restrain the pair of connecting members from moving inward in the seat width direction in a rear-end collision of the vehicle.

There is provided a slide door structure of a vehicle which has a slide door to slide in a vehicle longitudinal direction at a side of a vehicle body, comprising a center rail which extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction at the side of the vehicle body so as to guide a roller provided at the slide door, and an expansion preventing bracket which is provided at a front end portion of the center rail so as to connect a pair of guide-face portions which face to each other for preventing an expansion of a center-rail end. Accordingly, the expansion of guide-rail end can be prevented in case the outward load acts on the slide door when the slide door is in the closed state.

An automobile airbag system has an airbag which inflates and expands toward a passenger seat through an opening formed in an instrument panel disposed below a front windshield glass so as to restrain and protect a passenger upon an occurrence of a collision. An airbag lid which is disposed in the instrument panel opening with its upper side hinged to the instrument panel. The airbag lid is flipped upward by the airbag during the inflation and expansion of the airbag. The airbag lid is formed with a weakened portion by which it easily bends and is folded in two when it hits the front windshield glass. The lid is also provided with a reinforcing structure in close proximity to the weakened portion which provides the airbag lid with an increased rigidity.

A knee protector structure provided facing knees of a passenger seated in a front seat of a vehicle for stopping a forward movement of the passenger by the knees to lighten a collision impact applied to the passenger comprising front body means for mounting a knee protector, protecting panel provided in the knee protector for being brought into contact with the knees in case of collision. The protecting panel has an upper panel portion and a lower panel portion. The lower panel portion having a rigidity smaller than the lower panel portion so that the lower panel portion is deformed greater than the upper panel portion when the knees are brought into contact with the knee protector in case of the collision.
