A tubular body formed by joining two semi-tubular portions that are divided in radial direction, the tubular body having a connection flange portion provided with a bolt hole on at least one end portion. The two semi-tubular portions have joint projection portions at both edge portions in circumferential direction, the joint projection portions projecting in radial direction and extending in axial direction, and each joint projection portion of the semi-tubular portions on at least one of both sides in circumferential direction is configured to be bent so as to deviate from a virtual division face passing a central axis in such a manner that a joint portion formed by abutting the joint projection portions does not interfere with a tool for fastening a bolt inserted into the bolt hole in a predetermined area in the vicinity of the bolt hole of the connection flange portion.

Tubular body

A cylinder head gasket for sealing between a cylinder block and a cylinder head, composed of a composite base plate, the composite base plate comprising a core material plate and a compound layer formed on the front and back surfaces of the core material plate, the compound layer being formed by coating compound materials which contain a rubber and a fiber material. The cylinder head gasket is comprised of an annular groove which is formed by pressing the corresponding region around the cylinder bore of the compound layer, and a bead projecting from the surface of the compound layer which is formed by inserting the rubber material into the annular groove.

Cylinder head gasket

An elastic gasket is mounted to an annular groove on a seal surface of a cover member and used for sealing between the cover member and a block member closely attached to the seal surface. A transverse width of a cross section in a leading end side portion is smaller than a transverse width of a cross section in a bottom surface side portion continuously extending from a bottom surface side opposing the leading end side of the leading end side portion to a bottom surface side of the gasket. Each of the transverse width of the cross section in the leading end side portion and the bottom surface side portion has one magnitude all along a longitudinal direction thereof. A cross section of a transition region from the bottom surface side portion to the leading end side portion is in a step shape having a level difference.
