A portable telephone is provided with a camera module () for outputting a captured image as image information, a memory () for storing the image information, a face registration unit () for holding information relating to a face image, a face extraction unit (), a face parameter extraction unit (), and a matching determination unit () which serve as the configuration for detecting the face image held in the face registration unit () from the captured image, and an image-capturing control unit () for executing control processing for image capturing. The image-capturing control unit () stores the image information in the memory () on the basis of the fact that after the face image held in the face registration unit () is detected, the face image becomes undetected, and the face image is then detected again.
