An electronic part bonding substrate includes a substrate, an electronic part mounted on the substrate, a first terminal that extends outwardly from the electronic part, a second terminal that extends outwardly from the first terminal, and a third terminal that extends outwardly from the second terminal, wherein the second terminal being a member having a thermal conductivity lower than a thermal conductivity of a member of the first terminal and a member of the third terminal, and the third terminal being partly or entirely bonded to the substrate by soldering or by a conductive bonding agent.

A portable electronic device is capable of protecting a camera against impact from outer peripheries of a casing, and clearly indicating the passage of the camera through an image-inversion position. A camera () is rotatably installed in a casing (). Windows (), through which the camera is able to view the outside of the casing and to be operated to rotate by a user, are formed in a front wall () and a rear wall (), respectively, of the casing. Each of frames enclosing the windows, respectively, has a part which lies near an outer peripheral side of the casing and which is constituted by a bridge portion () connected with the casing. In this construction, all the outer peripheral sides of the camera () excepting those corresponding to the front and rear sides of the casing are covered with the casing and the bridge portion (). As a result, an impact applied to the camera from a peripheral side of the casing adjacent to the bridge portion can be blocked by the bridge portion. In addition, when the camera is rotated to move the shooting or picture-taking plane thereof to the front side or the rear side of the casing, the image on the display becomes dark at a time for example, and hence the user is able to clearly recognize that the camera has passed an image-inversion position. A control part performs prescribed control based on an image of a wall of the casing which is taken by the camera and which lies between the front side and the rear side.

A fixing device comprises an upper heat roller and a lower heat roller which, by contact rotations of their roller surfaces, thermally fix images on cut sheets passing therebetween. The fixing device further comprises a single oil roller which supplies oil for cut sheet release to the upper and lower heat rollers. When conveying to a process unit a cut sheet B to be back-side printed which has been delivered via a circulation path, a conveyance control unit forms a conveyance spacing L from a precedent cut sheet A which spacing conforms to one turn or more of the lower heat roller, so as to ensure uniform application of oil from the upper heat roller to the lower heat roller during the cut sheet vacant interval.

Disclosed is a liquid detection device wherein a condition in which there is no liquid remaining in either a storage member or a tank and a condition in which there is liquid remaining in at least either the storage member or the tank are easily discriminated using a single mechanism. When there is oil (liquid) remaining in at least either the oil tank or the impregnated member (storage member), light emitted from a light emitting part is passed into the oil through a prism face located partway along the light path, and does not reach a light receiving part. On the other hand, when there is no oil remaining in either the oil tank or the impregnated member, the emitted light reaches the light receiving part. When the oil tank itself is not mounted, the light emitted from the light emitting part also reaches the light receiving part. When the light emitted from the light emitting part is not detected by the light receiving part, a controller determines that there is oil.

An image forming apparatus has a plurality of print assemblies for forming a color image, a fixing unit, and a paper conveyor belt for conveying a paper sheet through the print assemblies and the fixing unit. The fixing unit includes a pair of fixing rollers, a nip control mechanism for moving the pair of the fixing rollers between a nip position and a non-nip position, and a fixing unit securing member movable with the nip control mechanism. Thus, the fixing unit can be easily mounted and demounted.

In an impact type printing apparatus, leak of impact noise to outside can be reduced by (1) arranging the print head, platen and sheet exhaust port almost in a line and (2) setting the shape of guide ribs provided at the internal surface of cover having the aperture so that the envelope of guide ribs which has come closest to the platen at the center and periphery thereof of the sheet and is gradually separated from the platen at both ends of the sheet. Moreover, the optimum exhaust port can be selected depending on the type and thickness of sheet by rotation of cover or providing the slide mechanism.
