A flow control nozzle with a nozzle body arranged at one side of a joint body and a driver arranged at the other side thereof. The nozzle body comprises a nozzle chip having an orifice at the center of the front end, a cone chip with turning grooves which is in abutting engagement with the tapered face within a cavity of the nozzle chip, and a control rod fitted slidably in an axial through-hole of the cone chip and has one end adapted to close the orifice. The driver comprises an electromagnetic plunger and an electromagnetic coil. The control rod and the electromagnetic plunger are biased toward each other by springs. This nozzle permits the proportional control of the quantity of spray to be performed.

Flow control nozzle

An automatic air venting device including a venting cylinder communicating with the pressure side of an electromagnetic plunger pump down-stream of a discharge valve thereof, a valved plunger fitted in the venting cylinder for sliding reciprocatory movement, a valve mounted at an end of the valved plunger on the side of a return port, a valve seat located at the return port and adapted to be engaged by the valve when the internal pressure of the pump is above a predetermined value during operation of the pump, a spring urging the valve to be brought out of engagement with the valve seat, and a leak passage formed in the valved plunger for bringing the pressure side of the pump into communication with the return port when the valved plunger is urged by the spring to move in a direction in which the valve is brought out of engagement with the valve seat. When the internal pressure of the valve drops below the predetermined value as the pump draws air at initial stages of operation or draws air bubbles entrained in the liquid during operation of the pump, the valve is brought out of engagement with the valve seat and the pressure side of the pump is communicated with the return port through the leak passage, the air or air bubbles in the liquid are rapidly vented through the return port.

Automatic air venting device for electromagnetic plunger pump

An electromagnetic plunger pump includes a plunger which is electromagnetically activated. Normally, the plunger is supported in a balanced condition by a pair of opposing springs. Further, the plunger is vertically pierced by a hole extending along an axial line in which the plunger reciprocates in the vertical direction, responsive to an application of an intermittent electromagnetic force. A valve body is loosely fitted into a rod inserted in the vertical hole, reaching a contact portion of a discharge plunger, which interlocks with the electromagnetic plunger. The discharge plunger is forced shut by a spring acting in the valve closing direction. The valve body engages a valve seat to close a discharge passage during a pump shut-down. The valve body is liberated from the valve seat to open the discharge passage during pump operation.

Electromagnetic plunger pump

An electromagnetic plunger pump of the reciprocating type including a vent valve means which allows only air bubbles in the pump to pass therethrough. This vent valve means is provided in a pressure adjusting plunger fitted in a pressure adjusting cylinder for reciprocating motion. The vent valve means comprises a vent valve rod which is fitted in a through-hole of the pressure adjusting plunger so as to form a passage about the vent valve rod, and a vent valve body which is normally energized by a spring in the direction away from a vent valve seat at a forward end of the pressure adjusting plunger to provide a clearance between the vent valve body and the vent valve seat. This clearance is such that it allows the air bubbles to pass therethrough, while it does not allow a liquid under pressure having a viscosity to pass therethrough with the result that the vent valve means is closed by such liquid under pressure. The air bubbles and the excess liquid under pressure from the pressure adjusting mechanism are returned to a storage tank.

A pump has a boost-retarding device which comprises a cylinder communicating between the suction side and the discharge side of the pump. A plunger slidably and reciprocatingly fits into the cylinder and a lead passage communicates between the suction side and the discharge sides which are divided by the plunger. An adjustable spring biases the plunger toward the discharge side, and a valve mechanism cuts off the outflow of a liquid, from the discharge side to the suction side, which outflow occurs responsive to a movement of the plunger toward the suction side.
