A scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll and a movable scroll. A facing surface of the fixed scroll that faces the movable scroll has a fixed oil groove. The fixed oil groove has a fixed circumferential groove portion. The fixed circumferential groove portion has a circular-arc portion that extends in the circumferential direction, and a wide portion wider in a radial direction than a groove width of the circular-arc portion. A facing surface of the movable scroll that faces the fixed scroll has a movable oil groove. The movable oil groove has a movable circumferential groove portion, and a radial groove portion that communicates with the movable circumferential groove portion. In a predetermined region of an angle range where the movable scroll makes an orbiting motion, a portion of the radial groove portion overlaps the wide portion as viewed from an axial direction.

Scroll compressor and refrigeration device

A compression mechanism of a scroll compressor has a back-pressure chamber defined on a back face of an end plate of a movable scroll. The compression mechanism has an annular space defined at an outer periphery of the end plate of the movable scroll. The movable scroll has a movable-side passage through which a compression chamber intermittently communicates with the back-pressure chamber in accordance with eccentric rotation of the movable scroll. The end plate of the movable scroll has a communication space through which the movable-side passage communicates with the annular space. The communication space includes first and second communication portions located forward and rearward of the movable-side passage in a direction of eccentric rotation, respectively. A first circumferential width of a first opening in the first communication portion is larger than a second circumferential width of a second opening in the second communication portion.

Scroll compressor

A scroll compressor includes a compression mechanism having fixed and movable scrolls to form a fluid chamber. The fixed scroll has an end plate, an outer peripheral wall, and a wrap. The movable scroll has an end plate and a wrap. A scroll oil groove is formed in a sliding contact surface of the outer peripheral wall. Lubricating oil having a high pressure corresponding to a discharge pressure of the compression mechanism is fed into the scroll oil groove. A scroll oil groove is formed in a sliding contact surface of the movable scroll, which slides on the outer peripheral wall. The fixed and movable scroll oil grooves communicate with each other without communicating with the fluid chamber in a first operation. The movable scroll oil groove simultaneously communicates with the fixed scroll oil groove and the fluid chamber in a second operation after the first operation.

Scroll-type compressor with oil grooves on scroll sliding surfaces

A scroll compressor includes a compression mechanism having fixed and orbiting scrolls engaged with each other to form a compression chamber. Each of the fixed and orbiting scrolls includes an end plate and a spiral wall-shaped wrap extending from the end plate. The fixed scroll has an injection port configured to communicate with the compression chamber through a communication passageway located in the fixed-side end plate. The orbiting-side wrap has a thick portion located at a position corresponding to the injection port and having an increasing tooth thickness portion. A tooth thickness of the increasing tooth thickness portion increases from a start of winding to an end of winding of the orbiting-side wrap. The thick portion has a thickness greater than or equal to a dimension of an opening of the injection port measured along a tooth thickness of the orbiting-side wrap.
