To provide an intake structure for a seat type vehicle which makes it possible to shorten the air intake path and to prevent the taken-in air from being heated with the heat of an engine. An intake structure for a seat type vehicle is provided in which an engine and a fuel tank are mounted side by side in the lateral direction of the vehicle under the occupant seats attached onto a frame. An air cleaner is arranged to the rear of the engine with an intake port for the air cleaner being provided under the occupant seats and above the fuel tank.

Intake structure for seat type vehicle

To decrease adhesion of dirt to a radiator, miniaturize the radiator in front of an engine and improve engine cooling performance by efficiently applying cooling air to the engine. An oil cooler includes a first oil cooler and a second oil cooler. The first oil cooler is disposed in front of an engine. The second oil cooler is disposed in a front cover at a position higher than an upper edge of a front wheel. The first oil cooler is disposed immediately in front of a cooling fan. The first oil cooler is disposed so as to close an air intake guide of the cooling fan less than 50%. The first oil cooler and the second oil cooler are serially connected along an oil line. A heat radiation area of the second oil cooler is larger than that of the first oil cooler.

Saddle riding type vehicle

A cooling air path is formed by an air duct provided in front of an engine and below main frames. The air duct has a cooling air port that is almost the same width, in plan view, as the lateral width of the main frames and a discharge port is formed thinner than the cooling air port, further to the rear than the cooling air port and in the vicinity of the engine.

Cooling system for internal combustion engine

A motorcycle having a front cowl provided at a front of the vehicle body is provided with a windscreen attached thereto. The front cowl is curved so as to project toward the front of the vehicle body and is mounted in a posture so as to extend toward the rear. A mounting plane inclined upward toward the rear is formed on the front surface of the front cowl, and the windscreen extends upwardly from the front cowl and is secured to the mounting plane with bolts so as to be capable of adjustment in the vertical direction. The aforementioned structure permits the mounting of the windscreen to the front cowl so as to be capable of adjustment in the vertical direction and to achieve a desirable windproofing effect. This structure enables the upper end of the windscreen to be moved linearly in the vertical direction and in the fore-and-aft direction.

Windscreen mounting structure for a motorcycle

To provide a reservoir tank for a radiator of a water-cooled saddle-type vehicle which ensures an improved degree of freedom in setting the shape and mounting position of the reservoir tank. A reservoir tank for a radiator of a saddle-type vehicle includes a water reservoir section located beneath the rear part of a seat rail, for reserving the cooling water, and a water supply section extending upwardly from the water reservoir section. The reservoir tank includes a major portion of the water reservoir section located further toward an inside the vehicle than on the seat rail, and the water supply section extends upwardly from the side of the water reservoir section toward the outside of the seat rail.
