An atomic absorption spectrophotometer that memorizes the maximum amount of light of each light source when an transmissivity of each of a plurality of dimmers is largest; computes an appropriate transmissivity of each dimmer for equalizing the amounts of light of the plurality of light sources from the maximum amount of light of each of the light sources; and sets the dimmer's transmissivity to be the appropriate transmissivity.

Atomic absorption spectrophotometer

Detected and stored are zero-order light positions which are an angular position of the pre-spectroscope and that of the main spectroscope at which a main light ray incident on the inlet slit reaches the outlet slit via the pre-spectroscope and the main spectroscope. In a state where the main spectroscope is located at its zero-order light position, the pre-spectroscope is rotated to detect the angular position of the pre-spectroscope for a predetermined wavelength. Further, in a state where the pre-spectroscope is located at its zero-order light position, the main spectroscope is rotated to detect the angular position of the main spectroscope for the predetermined wavelength.

Double monochromatic spectroscopic device

A spectro photometer deflects a measuring beam off its original axis to pass through a long sample, and returns the measuring beam to its final direction after passing through the sample. The sample is guided along a path which is clear of a reference beam of the spectro photometer. This arrangement permits double-beam measurement of long samples, with good signal-to-noise ratio. Deflection is accomplished using a plurality of mirrors.
