A laparoscopic device includes a flexible insertion part including an imaging optical system and an illumination optical system that are covered with an exterior tube; and an operational part connected to a base end of the insertion part. The insertion part is inserted into a peritoneal dialysis catheter for observation of an abdominal cavity, and the insertion part includes a distal extended part that is extendable from the peritoneal dialysis catheter in the abdominal cavity during use and formed in a shape with a curved part having a cumulative central angle between 180&#xb0; and 360&#xb0;.

Laparoscopic device and endoscopic system

A probe includes an optical system which irradiates a site of a biological tissue and receives light emitted from the site, and an imaging device. The imaging device is disposed ahead of the optical system closer to the end of the probe. The probe rotates the incident direction of the light and the imaging direction of the imaging device around a rotation axis directed to the longitudinal direction of the probe while fixing an angle between the incident direction and the imaging direction. The optical system receives the light from the site which always falls in the field of view of the imaging device, or brought with a time lag into the field of view of the imaging device as a result of rotation, the light being incident in the direction normal to, or inclined away from the rotation axis.

Probe

Provided are an optical connector and an optical tomographic imaging apparatus, by which no noise occurs and a high quality image without a distortion can be obtained. In the optical connector, optical fibers are inserted into a lumen of a tube from opposite ends thereof; one of the optical fibers is fixed to the tube and the other optical fiber is held so as to be rotatable relative to the tube; an end of one of the optical fibers is separated from an end of the other optical fiber to form a gap therebetween in the lumen; a connecting section which connects the exterior space of the tube and the gap is formed; and a liquid or fluid made of a material which can transmit light is held in the exterior space, the gap, and the connecting section. Consequently, a significant pressure variation in matching liquid does not occur if the distance between the facing optical fibers changes.

A method for assembling an optical pickup apparatus for recording/reproducing a high density DVD, DVD and CD including two objective lens and three laser light sources, the objective lenses being provided on the lens holder having an actuator base for supporting the actuator, the method for assembling the optical pickup apparatus comprises the steps of adjusting a first tilt angle of the actuator base so that a coma aberration of a spot formed by the first light beams decreases when the first light beams are converged onto the first recording medium via the first objective lens, and adjusting a second tilt angle formed between the second objective lens and the lens holder so that a coma aberration of a beam spot formed by the second light beams decreases when the second light beams are converged onto the second recording medium via the second objective lens.

An optical pickup apparatus for recording and/or reproducing information onto/or from information recording surface, the optical pickup apparatus comprises a laser light source, an objective lens for converging light beams from the laser light source onto the information recording surface through a protective layer of an optical information recording medium, an optical device for changing a divergence angle of incident light beams by moving in an optical axis direction, the optical device being arranged between the laser light source and the objective lens, a light receiving device for receiving light beams reflected by the information recording surface and passed through the objective lens, and a driving device capable of moving the optical device in a direction crossing the optical axis.

Optical pickup apparatus

A piezoelectric element of a driving device is arranged on the opposite side of the light source, when an optical pickup device is divided by a plane that includes an optical axis of an objective lens and perpendicularly intersects the axis line of a light flux entering a raising mirror, that has come from the light source, whereby, it is possible to cause optical elements existing between the objective lens and the laser light source to be away from the piezoelectric element, and thereby to avoid an influence of heat even when a gap between members is reduced.
