A coating agent for oil seal comprising 10 to 160 parts by weight of a filler having a particle size of 0.5 to 30 &#x25a1;m based on 100 parts by weight of isocyanate group-containing 1,2-polybutadiene and being prepared as an organic solvent solution, wherein a contact angle between a substrate surface coated with the coating agent and engine oil is less than 35&#xb0;. The coating agent can improve wettability with oil and reduce dynamic friction coefficient in oil, while increasing the roughness of the coating surface. Thus, low torque characteristics can be achieved, while maintaining excellent seal performance inherent in oil seal.

An adhesive composition for oil bleeding silicone rubber comprising any of: (A) an alcohol-based organic solvent solution adding 45 to 120 parts by weight of organometallic compound and 2 to 10 parts by weight of water, based on 100 parts by weight of vinyltrialkoxysilane, (B) a solution in which 5 parts by weight or less, preferably 1 to 5 parts by weight, of 3-aminopropyltrialkoxysilane is added to the above alcohol-based organic solvent solution (A), or (C) a solution in which uncrosslinked silicone rubber dissolved beforehand in an organic solvent is added to the above alcohol-based organic solvent solution (A) or (B) in which the amount of the organometallic compound is changed to 5 to 20 parts by weight, at a ratio of 0.1 to 5 wt. %, based on the total solid matters of vinyltrialkoxysilane and the organometallic compound. The adhesive composition has excellent adhesion to various substrates, including metals.

Adhesive composition for oil silicone rubber

A rubber-metal laminated gasket material comprising a metal plate, a surface treating agent layer, an adhesive layer, and a rubber layer, the layers being sequentially laminated on the metal plate; wherein the surface treating agent layer is formed by applying a surface treating agent so that the coating amount on one surface is 30 to 1,000 mg/m, and the surface treating agent is free from chromium, has a mixing ratio of 20 to 90 wt. % of a fluorine-free titanium compound and 10 to 80 wt. % of alumina, and has a metal titanium content of 1 to 20 wt. %. The rubber-metal laminated gasket material has excellent LLC resistance under high temperature conditions.

Rubber-metal laminated gasket material

Provided is a cleaning blade having an elastic body that is a molding of a rubber substrate and having at least a surface-treatment layer at a position that contacts a contact-receiving site on the elastic body. The surface-treatment layer contains a cured product from an isocyanate group reaction product of a difunctional isocyanate compound with a difunctional polyol and a trifunctional polyol wherein the molar ratio of the difunctional polyol to the trifunctional polyol (difunctional/trifunctional) is 50/50 to 95/5. The cured product reacts via the isocyanate group with the polymer forming the elastic body, and the surface-treatment layer has a thickness of at least 10 &#x3bc;m and not more than 100 &#x3bc;m.

A surface-treating agent for vulcanized rubber, comprising, based on 100 parts by weight, as solid matters, of isocyanate group-containing 1,2-polybutadiene, an organic solvent solution containing 10 to 160 parts by weight of fluororesin particles and 2.5 to 20 parts by weight of a perfluoroalkyl group-containing oligomer-based, fluorine-containing surfactant as a dispersant. The surface-treating agent for vulcanized rubber improves the solution stability of the organic solvent solution, improves the further hardness of the entire coating film formed from the surface-treating agent, abrasion resistance, and product torque evaluation, and is effectively used as, for example, a coating agent for seal lip parts of oil seals.

Surface-treating agent for vulcanized rubber

A silicone rubber-fluororesin laminate comprising a substrate, and a vulcanized silicone rubber layer and a fluororesin layer that are sequentially formed on the substrate; wherein the fluororesin layer is formed after an epoxy resin-containing silane based primer layer and a fluororesin based primer layer are sequentially formed on the vulcanized silicone rubber layer, and the epoxy resin-containing silane based primer layer contains 30 to 80 wt % of an epoxy resin and 70 to 20 wt % of a silane coupling agent. The silicone rubber-fluororesin laminate does not cause a reduction not only in the initial adhesion, but also in the adhesion between the vulcanized silicone rubber and the fluororesin even in a heated environment, such as a hot state or long-term heating.

A cleaning blade has an elastic body formed of a urethane elastomer, and a treated surface layer formed at least at a portion which comes into contact with a contact target of the elastic body. The treated surface layer is formed through impregnating a surface portion of the elastic body with a surface treatment liquid containing a bifunctional isocyanate compound, at least one polyol, and an organic solvent; or a surface treatment liquid containing an isocyanate group-containing compound having an isocyanate group at an end thereof, which compound is a reaction product of the bifunctional isocyanate compound with the at least one polyol, and an organic solvent, and curing the surface treatment liquid. The difference between the nitrogen concentration at the surface and the nitrogen concentration in the elastic body at a depth of 0.5 mm from the surface of the treated surface layer is 0.02 to 0.15 mass %.

An acrylic rubber-metal composite, which comprises an iron phosphate treated iron-based metal, and an adhesive layer comprising a phenol resin and a metal oxide, and preferably further a halogenated polymer, and an acrylic rubber layer, successively provided on the iron-based metal surface, has not only distinguished initial adhesiveness and water resistance, when the acrylic rubber is bonded to the metal owing to application of the iron phosphate treatment to the metal surface, but also can reduce the abrasion of the mating materials when brought into contact with rubber-unbaked parts of the sheet, because the surface roughness Ra[according to JIS 0601(1994)] of the surface treated steel sheet is 0.6 or less.

Acrylic rubber-metal composite

A cleaning blade () having an elastic body () molded from a rubber base material, and having at least a surface treatment layer () on the area of the elastic body () that is brought into contact with a body to be contacted, wherein the surface treatment layer () is formed by impregnating the surface layer portion of the elastic body () with a surface treatment liquid containing an isocyanate compound and an organic solvent and hardening the liquid. The elasticity modulus of the surface treatment layer () is 40 MPa or less, the elasticity modulus of the elastic body () is 3-20 MPa, and the difference between the elasticity modulus of the surface treatment layer () and the elasticity modulus of the elastic body () is 1 MPa or more.

In a cleaning bladehaving an elastic body, which is a molded article of a rubber material, the elastic bodyhaving at least a surface-treated layerformed at least on an abutting part with an object of contact, the surface-treated layeris formed by impregnating the elastic bodywith a surface treatment liquid which contains a bi-functional isocyanate compound, a tri-functional polyol, and an organic solvent, or with a surface treatment liquid which contains an organic solvent and an isocyanate-group-containing compound having an isocyanate group yielded through reaction between the bi-functional isocyanate compound and the tri-functional polyol, followed by curing; the ratio between an isocyanate group contained in the bi-functional isocyanate compound and a hydroxyl group contained in the tri-functional polyol (NCO group/OH group) is 1.0 to 1.5; and the surface-treated layer has a thickness of 10 &#x3bc;m to 100 &#x3bc;m.

An acrylic rubber-metal composite, which comprises a metal, (a) an undercoat adhesive layer comprising phenol resin and epoxy resin, (b) an overcoat adhesive layer comprising phenol resin, halogenated polymer, and a metal oxide, and (c) an acrylic rubber layer, the layers (a), (b) and (c) being successively laid on the surface of the metal, having not only a distinguished initial adhesiveness, but also a good water resistance, where the acrylic rubber is bonded to the metal without surface treatment of the metal such as a chemical treatment, e.g. zinc phosphate treatment, etc., a blast treatment, or a primer treatment.

A bonded piston seal, which comprises a metal ring, and a rubbery elastomer seal as vulcanization-bonded thereto expect the sliding site along which a mating seal member slides, where the rubbery elastomer seal is partially bonded to the metal ring through an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layers comprises (a) an underlayer adhesive layer comprising a phenol resin and an epoxy resin, and (b) an overlayer adhesive layer comprising a phenol resin, a halogenated polymer, and a metal oxide. Not only the distinguished initial adhesiveness, but also the distinguished water-resistance can be obtained by providing (a) the underlayer adhesive layer of the afore-mentioned components and (b) the overlayer adhesive layer of the afore-mentioned components.

Bonded piston seal

A magnetic encoder, which comprises a stainless steel sheet; and an under coat adhesive containing epoxy resin and organopolysiloxane, a top coat adhesive containing phenol resin, or phenol resin and epoxy resin, and a rubber magnet, as successively laid one upon another on the stainless steel sheet, has distinguished water resistance and saline water resistance, and thus can be effectively used particularly as a magnetic encoder in wheel speed sensors.

A rubber composition for magnetic encoder, which comprises ethylene-methyl acrylate copolymeric rubber, magnetic powder and an amine-based vulcanizing agent, can give molding products with distinguished heat resistance, water resistance and saline water resistance and can be used as effective vulcanization molding materials for magnetic encoder, particularly in use for wheel speed sensor. A higher mixing proportion of the magnetic powder can be added to the rubber component, so the resulting magnetic encoder can have a distinguished magnetic force.
