This connector-mounting configuration comprises: a latching claw that is provided at a connector and latches to a substrate, whereby the substrate is equipped with the connector; a protruding portion that is provided so as to protrude from the latching claw and latches to the substrate, whereby the latching claw latches to the substrate; and a flexing portion that is formed from a first plate member that is a plate-like component and that is disposed at a position closer to the base end side of the latching claw than the protruding portion thereof. The flexing portion is disposed so that the plate thickness direction of the first plate member coincides with the protruding direction of the protruding portion.

Connector-mounting configuration

This connector comprises: a connector main body mounted on a substrate; a latching piece that is attached to the connector main body and which temporarily joins the connector main body to the substrate by temporarily latching to an edge portion of an attachment hole formed in the substrate; and a rib having a width wider than the latching piece and which is attached to the connector main body. The rib is inserted into the attachment hole, and when external force in a direction of moving away from the substrate acts on one end side of the connector main body, whose end portions in the width direction interfere with the interior peripheral portion of the attachment hole, so as to generate resistance force that resists the external force.

Connector

This connector configuration comprises: a fixing member that is a component of a connector and is fixed to a substrate in order to mount the connector onto the substrate; a case that is a component of the connector and has an installation groove formed thereon, into which the fixing member is installed; and a regulating portion provided at either one of the fixing member and the case along the direction of installation of the fixing member to the case. A regulating groove is provided along the direction of installation on the other one of the fixing member and the case, and when the fixing member is installed onto the case, the regulating portion is guided along the regulating groove and tilting of the fixing member relative to the direction of installation is controlled.

Connector configuration

The fixing member of the present invention can be mounted to a fixed member that is fixed to a printed circuit board and that is used for fixing the fixed member to the printed circuit board, the fixing member including: a mounting member main body fixed to the fixed member; male connector portions having at tip ends thereof lug portions that are engaged with an opening edge of an insertion opening in the printed circuit board when inserted into the inserting opening; and contact portions that contact with a soldering land formed at the printed circuit board and are joined to the soldering land by soldering when the lug portions are engaged with the opening edge, the contact portions being formed at the mounting portion main body and the male connector portions extend arm-shaped from the mounting portion main body or from the contact portions.

Fixing member and fixing structure

An upper tier terminal is provided with a fitting portion and a board attachment portion. When the upper tier terminal is being fabricated, a first wire member which is a component of the fitting portion and a second wire member which is a component of the board attachment portion, whole peripheral surfaces of which have been subjected to a plating treatment beforehand, are employed. End portions of the first wire member and the second wire member are mutually superposed, and the first wire member and the second wire member are joined. Thus, the fitting portion is formed and the board attachment portion is formed. Hence, a surface of the upper tier terminal is structured by a plating layer at the peripheral surface of the first wire member and a plating layer at the peripheral surface of the second wire member. Consequently, a post-plating treatment can be rendered unnecessary.

Connector terminal fabrication process and connector terminal

A fixing member of the present invention can be mounted to a fixed member that is fixed to a printed circuit board, and is used for fixing the fixed member to the printed circuit board, the fixing member including: a male connector portion inserted into an insertion opening formed in the printed circuit board; a plurality of arm portions provided at the male connector portion; lug portions provided at each tip end side of the arm portions and engaged with an opening edge of the insertion opening; and a lug-guiding portion extending out from a tip end portion of at least one lug portion to guide the lug portion to the insertion opening when the lug-guiding portion comes in contact with the opening edge and is further pressed.

Fixing member and mounting structure

A connector that can be mounted to a substrate in a stable manner and a mounting structure of the connector to the substrate are provided. A connector according to the present invention includes a housing, which has a base, bosses, and terminals. Gaps are formed on portions of the base between the terminals and the bosses. The gaps extend to surround the terminals. Another connector according to the present invention includes a housing, which has a base, arms, bosses, and terminals. The arms are flexible and extend from the housing. Each boss is located at the distal end of one of the arms.
