A communication device is capable of extending a power supply unit to a second casing without additional components. A mobile telephone includes a circuit board disposed at an operation unit-side casing, a circuit board disposed at a display unit-side casing, a circuit part formed on the circuit board having a ground pattern and a contact point, a reference potential pattern layer disposed at the operation unit-side casing and electrically connected to the ground pattern, a reference potential pattern layer disposed at the display unit-side casing, and an FPC unit. The FPC unit includes a signal line and a shield layer. The shield layer is electrically connected to the contact point in the operation unit-side casing and is thus electrically connected to the reference potential pattern layer in the display unit-side casing.

Communication device

Provided is a portable wireless device having a plurality of antennas of different frequency bands. By positively using one antenna for improving gains of other antennas, the one antenna can be effectively used and the gains of other antennas can be improved. Patterns (A, A, A, B, BB) for adding a band disturbing element () (high frequency blocking means), which is composed of beads and a parallel resonance circuit, are arranged at a prescribed position of a magnetic field antenna (). The band disturbing element () may be composed of ferrite core or the like.

Portable wireless device

A portable electronic device and a magnetic field antenna circuit are provided for making it possible to keep an antenna resonance frequency in a fixed range even if temperature changes. A mobile telephone device () is provided with a second communication unit driven by a chargeable battery () to execute a predetermined function and an RFID unit () accompanied with magnetic communication. The RFID unit () includes a magnetic antenna unit (), which can transmit or receive a wireless signal by a magnetic field, and a capacitor (), one terminal of which is connected with the magnetic antenna unit () to generate a predetermined resonance frequency. The capacitor () is characterized in having a temperature-reactance characteristic reverse to an amount of an inductance value that fluctuates as the magnetic antenna unit () changes in accordance with temperatures.

Portable electronic device and magnetic antenna circuit

A mobile wireless device enables effective use of space in a case while reducing degradation of antenna gain and maintaining communication quality even if a plurality of antennas having different frequency bands are arranged close to one another. A magnetic antenna has a first switch unit, a second switch unit, and a concentrated constant circuit which are added to a wiring pattern at the side near to a main antenna, so that a first path and a second path can be selected. Under a predetermined condition, a CPU controls the first switch and the second switch to electrically connect terminal (A) to terminal (B) and electrically connect terminal (A) to terminal (B), thereby forming the first path; and electrically connect terminal (A) to terminal (C) and electrically connect terminal (A) to terminal (C), thereby forming the second path connected via the concentrated constant circuit.

Provided is a portable terminal which is provided with a first case, a second case, and a connecting section which connects together the first case and the second case, and has less deterioration of antenna sensitivity. The portable terminal has the first case (), the second case (), the connecting section (), a first circuit section () disposed in the first case (), a first conductive section () disposed in the first case (), a second conductive section () disposed in the second case (), a third conductive section () disposed in the connecting section (), and a first electronic component () disposed adjacent to the first conductive section () in the length direction of the first case () in the first case (). The first length (X), which is obtained from the sum of the path length of the signals in the band of a first frequency (f) in the first conductive section () and the path length of the signals in the band of the first frequency (f) in the first electronic component (), is substantially the same as the second length (X), which is obtained from the sum of the path length of the signals in the band of the first frequency (f) in the second conductive section () and the path length of the signals in the band of the first frequency (f) in the third conducive section ().

Portable terminal antenna arrangement to suppress deterioration of antenna sensitivity

A method of controlling a transmission power in a CDMA system in which an AGC (automatic gain control) amplifier that amplifies a transmission signal, and an RF power amplifier that amplifies an output of said AGC amplifier are disposed, and a gain of said AGC amplifier is controlled by a transmission power control signal to control a transmission power, wherein first comparing means for comparing-the transmission power control signal with a predetermined reference value, and second comparing means for detecting the transmission power, and for comparing the detected transmission power with a predetermined reference value are disposed, and when only said first comparing means outputs an output signal, a signal in a direction along which the transmission power is increased is produced, and, when only said second comparing means outputs an output signal, a signal in a direction along which the transmission power is decreased is produced and the signal is added as an offset signal to the transmission power control signal, and, when both said first and second comparing means output an output signal or when both said first and second comparing means do not output an output signal, a present offset signal is held.
