An electronic apparatus has a trapezoidally shaped first housing having a first side portion, a second side portion, slanted side portions, a bottom surface portion, and a top surface portion, the second side portion having a width smaller than a width of the first side portion and being parallel to the first side portion, the slanted side portions connecting end points of the first side portion with respective end points of the second side portion. The electronic apparatus has a second housing and a connecting portion connecting the first side portion of the first housing with the second housing such that the second housing is capable of being opened and closed with respect to the top surface portion of the first housing.

Electronic apparatus

An electronic device includes: a first housing that includes an inlet and an outlet on one end; a second housing; and a linkage section that links the second housing to the first housing such that the second housing can be opened and closed. The device is configured such that the second housing divides at least a part of a space between the inlet and the outlet while the second housing is in the open position relative to the first housing. While the second housing is opened relative to the first housing, the second housing divides the space between the inlet and the outlet, thereby preventing the exhausted warm air from being drawn into the electronic device.

Electronic device

An electronic apparatus has a battery pack and a main unit. The battery pack has a groove formed in an outer surface of the battery pack, the groove being recessed from the outer surface and extending in a predetermined direction. The main unit comprises a container portion containing the battery pack in a removable manner and having a projection engaged to the groove of the battery pack loaded in the container portion, and a cable disposed in an internal space of the projection.

In a first area, a projection section provided in a second rib is inserted into a hollow section provided in a first rib, and the first rib and the second rib are overlapped with each other such that the second rib is located inside the first rib. In a second area, the first rib and the second rib are overlapped with each other such that the first rib is located inside the second rib. Therefore, a front rib and a back rib prevent each other from moving in an overlapping direction. Accordingly, it is possible to fix the front rib and the back rib without using a rib which is another component, thereby making it possible to reduce the size and weight of an apparatus while increasing the size of a display screen.

A board fixing member has a first board supporting face and a second board supporting face both of which are adjacent to each other with an angle. A flexible board is fixed in a state in which the flexible board is supported by both the first and second board supporting faces of the board fixing member. The flexible board includes a first reinforcement plate at a first portion supported by the first board supporting face and a second reinforcement plate at a second portion supported by the second board supporting face.

An electronic apparatus includes: an enclosure having an opening; and an assembly fixed inside the enclosure and extending through the opening to the outside of the enclosure. The assembly includes a first arm and a second arm, the first arm entering the inside of the enclosure through the opening and extending along an inner wall of the enclosure in a first direction, the second arm entering the inside of the enclosure through the opening and extending along an inner wall of the enclosure in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The first arm has a member-side engagement section which is engaged with the enclosure, and the second arm has a member-side fixing section which is fixed to the enclosure. The enclosure has an enclosure-side engagement section with which the member-side engagement section is engaged and an enclosure-side fixing section to which the member-side fixing section is fixed.

An electronic apparatus of the present invention includes a radiation rubber. The radiation rubber is brought into firm contact with both a frame of an air-cooling fan unit and a housing of the electronic apparatus such as a notebook personal computer. The heat of a fan unit is transferred to the housing through the radiation rubber, and the housing is utilized as a radiator.

The present invention provides an electronic apparatus having a structure suitable for installing different functions each requiring a hole in an enclosure depending on grade or destination by mounting the same module. The apparatus includes: an enclosure having a hole; and a board having mounted thereon a first component and a second component which differently interact with the outside via the hole, either one of the first and second components is disposed at such a position that it faces the outside through the hole according to an attachment direction of the board.

The present invention provides an electronic apparatus typified by a personal computer for example. The electronic apparatus has: a main unit; and an openable and closable display unit that is attached to the main unit. The main unit has a battery-attachment section to which a detachable battery unit containing a battery for supplying power to the electronic unit is to be attached. The main unit also has projections that are not covered by the display unit when the display unit is closed and are formed at both ends of the attachment section. The projections each contain a speaker.

An enclosure of an electronic apparatus includes an upper panel covering over the upper surface of an inner space of the enclosure. A connector is incorporated in the enclosure. The electronic apparatus allows the upper panel to define the peripheral edge retreating from the tip end of the connector. When the user of electronic apparatus looks down at the upper panel, the user can see the tip end of the connector. The user is in this manner allowed to locate the connector without looking into the side of the enclosure. The user can thus insert a plug or male connector into a connector or female connector with a higher reliability. A cover member may be used to cover over the tip end of the connector.

The present invention provides an electronic apparatus which includes: a card slot into which a portable storage medium such as a card is removably inserted and which accesses the inserted portable storage medium; and an ejection mechanism section which is slidably operated to move the storage medium inserted in the card slot in an eject direction. The ejection mechanism section includes: a sliding member which is in an L-shape in cross section and affects the slot by sliding in a direction in which a ridge of the L shape extends; and an operation member which transmits a sliding operation made thereon to the sliding member in response to the sliding operation, thereby causing the sliding member to slide. This makes it possible to eject a card inserted into the slot while ensuring the strength and avoiding increase in size of components.

A connector is mounted on a printed circuit board in an enclosure. A member is interposed between the enclosure and the printed circuit board so as to hold the printed circuit board on the enclosure. The member allows change in the attitude of the printed circuit board relative to the enclosure. When the connector is coupled to the other connector, the connector receives a force from the other connector in the electronic apparatus. The force induces the change in the attitude of the connector and the printed circuit board. The change in the attitude in this manner enables consumption of the energy of the force within the member. Generation of stress can be suppressed in a bonding member such as a solder coupling the connector with the printed circuit board, for example. Generation of cracks can be prevented in the solder. Shockproof is improved for the connector.

The present invention provides an electronic apparatus and a board assembly which are easy to assemble by increasing their visibility even when a connector is disposed in a position where it is originally difficult to see. The apparatus includes: a board assembly including two circuit boards fixed to each other with predetermined space formed between the circuit boards; a first connector disposed on a surface of one of the circuit boards facing the other one of the circuit boards, the first connector being disposed at one end of the surface; and a second connector connected to an end of a cable and capable of mating with the first connector. The other one of the circuit boards has an indentation for visually observing the first connector at a portion facing the first connector.

An information processing apparatus includes a main body having an upper surface, and a display part which opens and closes with respect to the main body. The display part in a closed state is stacked on the upper surface of the main body and forms a generally flat parallelepiped shape together with the main body. The parallelepiped shape has a top surface, a bottom surface, and side surfaces forming an outer periphery of the parallelepiped shape. The main body has a first sloping surface joining the bottom surface and at least one of the side surfaces.
