A stator includes a bracket having a shaft bearing portion at a center, a stator base including a flexible printed wiring board outwardly attached to the shaft bearing portion, single-phase air-armature coils disposed on the stator base, and a drive circuit member disposed on the stator base so as not to overlap with the single-phase air-core armature coils. The bracket has a through hole at the section corresponding to the bottom of the drive circuit member. The stator base is embedded at least partly in the thickness direction in the through hole and fixed using a resin, and a detent torque generation member is contained in, and is no thicker than, the stator base.

Because the bearing of an eccentric rotor is small, when it is integrated in a rotor by resin molding, the bearing unit can be fractured by impacts unless it has a sufficient mounting strength. Accordingly, an eccentric rotor is provided in which a sufficient mounting strength of the bearing on the rotor is ensured and the bearing unit is prevented from fracture by impacts. Also a vibration motor using the eccentric rotor is provided. The eccentric rotor includes a printed wiring board, a cylindrical bearing for insertion of a shaft, and a weight which are integrated to have a flat disk shape by resin molding. A shaft insertion hole has a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the shaft and smaller than the outer diameter of the bearing, and the bearing is integrated by resin molding in a state in which the entire periphery at the end portion thereof is disposed in contact with the printed wiring board around the insertion hole.

An axial direction sliding-contact type brush apparatus is provided which can not only maintain performance of suppressing vibration of a brush of a flat vibrator motor but also allow the brush to form a stable electrical contact with a commutator. The base portion of the brush is installed at the exposed portion of the pattern of the brush base above the bracket at an elevation angle of 45&#xb0; or less with respect to the brush base. The ultraviolet-cured acryl-based resin is coated on the base portion of the brush to cover a position located at about &#x2153; of the side projection length L of the brush arm portion from the base portion of the brush.

An axially sliding contact type of a commutator which is capable of removing the problem related to a braking loose caused by magnetic force to prevent increase of consumed electricity, has a rotor including the commutator, and an electric motor having the rotor, in which a gap is axially formed. The commutator is of an axially contact type and comprises a plurality of metal plates made of copper and a noble metal layer coated on the metal plates in a state of disposing a separate layer between the metal plates and the noble metal layer. The separate layer is formed of Nickel plating having a non-magnetic property in a non-electrolysis manner.
